Ne0
Just out of curiosity, how much of time do you spend in a week on playing video games ? Personally, I spend like 7-8 hours in a good week, but otherwise on average it might be around 4-5 hours / week. Many days just fly by without even powering on the console/pc. My interest in games is definitely waning. Partly due to family/work commitments, and partly due to other distractions like OTT. Also, maybe due to the fact that the video games these days are mostly just sequels of previous games and rehashing of the same old concepts and rarely a fresh idea comes out. So for such games, after playing a few hours, don’t really feel like sticking long enough to complete them.
ZooZoo
Bold of you to assume we get any time to play the games. Real gamers buy and download games but rarely play them.

After work I like to sit back relax and read a book these days for some reason or listen to a podcast, clearly I am growing old.
hazard12345
For me its more about doing stuff according to time of day. Reading only before bed. OTT stuff in the afternoon weekends only when I don't want to pick up a controller. Gaming could be random for 4-8 hrs max/week with no overnight. Still retain interests in gaming as OTT content quality is just not that good overall for the time it asks to invest. (6-12 hours each). zoord
Since March I have improved my playtime - now its around 12 hours in a week but in return I had to sacrifice movies and TV shows. Earlier it was used to be 6 hours on average but with some other stuffs on the side too( movies + tv shows). 1 hour ago, ZooZoo said: Bold of you to assume we get any time to play the games. I promised myself I will improve my playtime as my backlog kept on increasing and I observed that I end up buying stuff even though I have plenty of stuff to play. ZooZoo
I tend to play few hours on weekends but occasionally there are games which pull me in that I play every day till i wrap them up. FF 16, Alan Wake, Dragons Dogma 2, Spiderman 2 were the recent few games which I played from launch every day till I finished. During those days, I also do marathon sessions of 8-10 hours with little food breaks in between. Other grindy games I find exhausting and just play them out of novelty at first but then leave them in between. Stellar Blade is one which I'm really excited for and probably will try to wrap them up over this long weekend.
Sach4life
Around 5-6 hours in a week (primarily weekend).

Ne0
lol, I thought I was the only one getting old and spending less and less time as the years went by…. Looks like many here are in the same boat - just buy games and don’t find the time to play them …. 😂 i think, video games in general tend to take lot more time and energy compared to others media like movies/tv/music. Going by the short attention spans especially of the future gens, I think the long length SP games will slowly get phased out of the market !
