Ishikaari plain is another winner. Stellar stuff. 36h in with 23% completion.

This is very near to beating witcher3 for me. Amazing open world. Everything is just so organic.

Stellar combat. Sony games just nail the gameplay.

And again. Best looking game ever:majesty:

Where does everyone check the completion percentage?

I must have played this for about 3 hours or so. Trying to avoid fast travel and use my horse + guiding winds. Graphics and looks are great/better than GOT for me.

Story is meh so far - maybe it opens up later? Still in the first area with the home and initial inn - I am yet to enter any new areas and am happy buying maps and hunting POIs/bounties.

So I have been playing for 12 hours now and it’s not that great tbh.  Looks like the devs took everything great with got(prequel) and just butchered the amazing side quests (tales) that game has and replaced it with useless 2 mins side quests.  The world is sparse with hardly any settlements, the story is literally one liner (so far) and the sane old liberate outposts activities.  Also the random encounters for some reason seem dialled up which gets tedious after a while.

I’ve unlocked three weapons so far.  Honestly the combat is the only good thing about this game.  Gfx is good but when you literally have no base towns/villages/cities/lot of ppl /buildings etc and just vast grasslands and flowers, I don’t really see that’s an achievement in itself.  Background music is great and kinda like a stress buster at times.

But overall, this has been disappointing so far.  I think I’ll shift focus to main quests and see if it improves.  So far, this looks like something I should’ve played in a sub, not something I had to buy !

Ya it's boring as an open world game. The world is beautiful but not much fun stuff to do.

Play Crimson Desert if you want to play a real open world game. I have played it for over 150 hours and still not bored.

Waiting for cd to come on discount, it’s on my must-play list.

I’m loving the combat in this game though, the polish and the background music.  It runs so smooth on my base ps5-the voice acting and animations are also top tier.  They should’ve made the open world better with better side quests and more populated settlements.  Sometimes the game feels like far cry in terms of open world gameplay !

Yes Far Cry type world is apt comparison.

If any game in the history of video games is worth full price, then it's Crimson Desert.

Crimson Desert seem to have so much to do that every time I see any video for the game, it feels incredibly boring. Open world do anything except play story.

It is opposite of boring. I got bored in Ghost of Yotei in few hours and not bored in Crimson Desert for over 150 hours.
