There’s nothing normal looking about a woman that size carrying heavy armours & weaponry to take on hordes of enemies (mostly men with much bigger size)

Unless of course they design the gameplay solely focused on stealth & ranged combat this time around…

Atleast make the character look like Abey if you really want to fit a woman in an otherwise macho genre.

Let me introduce you to the concept of swords and lightsabers, especially legendary swords like Hattori Hanzo from Kill Bill that can cut through 88 men and women, and God itself. When a sword is sharp enough, when you apply the formula of force/unit area of the edge, the resultant impact is very high not because the initial force is high, but because the contact edge is very small. This is mostly how katanas work.

Now if she was punching people to death like in Outlaws it would be a very different story

Kill Bill is more of a satirical movie & not really a great example for a product that previously took itself a bit more seriously.

Also not gona say much more as end of the day nothing about fictional entertainment is real at the end of the day.

I think they will make it stealth focused and taking multiple strong enemies head on will be tough. Even if she has sharpest sword in galaxy, she still has to defend an incoming sword blow and then strength matters. Combat will be mostly arrow shooting and stealth based with occasional multi enemy battles or challenge the camp like Jin used to do, and quickly slice through the attacking enemies one by one.

Strength makes no sense in sword fight, this is why half the enemy attacks in Sushi are either red or blue unblockables. And the ones you can block, you can see the animation that Jin just lets the enemy sword slide off and away from him. Since samurais don't carry shields, this is all the strength you're going to need. Sidestep and counter, even Arya can do that with her Needle

Did I just read Kill Bill is a satirical movie?

It’s a classic western, revenge with a fresh take.

Tarantino movies are very far from being satires. There’s a mix of comedy with action, that doesn’t necessarily make it satire.

Nah man…

Satirical movies are a different genre and to imply that Kill Bill is a satire totally undermines the very thing the movie is about.
The definition of satire has nothing to do with the genre in Hollywood.

Examples of satirical movies would be Robocop, Tropic thunder, Johnny English, etc.

Kill Bill is actually a Dark violent comedy. There are number of scenes like she spanking yakuza with her swords which I found hilarious. Typical Tarantino stuff. Now I want to watch both movies again.

Definitely has scenes which are comedic just like all Tarantino movies. But if I was to put it in a genre, satire won't be the one I will pick.

I bet if Kill Bill had a male lead, this satire discussion wouldn’t even have started.

It’s being seen indifferently just coz of the female lead.
And Uma was an absolute badass in the movie.
The behind the scenes features offer a great insight into how demanding her role was.

Whether you label it Black Comedy,Dark Comedy or Satire or any other buzz word….the point was that it didn’t really take itself too seriously & comparing it to Ghost Of Tsushima isn’t right as for gaming standards it took itself quite seriously.

But anyway…..

I’m sure the great developers at SuckerPunch won’t let the project feel stupid & make necessary changes…..
