XBox controller Vs PS3 Six Axis

Recommended Posts

Recently, I swapped my xbox with a ps3 so I could play MGS4 and watch blue rays. However, when playing MSG4 and other games, I felt that the controller was very small (I am used to the xbox controller) and the triggers depress quite a bit so you don't feel as though you are firing a trigger but rather pressing a button.

What are your thoughts? Which controller is better?

Xbox 360 Controller on the PS3

by Chris Iaquinta

The console war between PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 rages on, and while you can debate all day about which systems are producing the best games, popular opinion has shown that the 360 is home to the superior controller. Its inclusion of ergonomic trigger buttons is ideal for any FPS title, and the overall feel has been praised since the systems launch. Not wanting to exclude PS3 owners from such a luxury, XCM has announced a new adapter that will allow the crossover conversion of using a Xbox 360 controller on your PS3.

The Cross Battle Adapter is a small, simplistic device that allows you to plug your 360 wired controller into the included USB port, and then plug the adapter itself into your PS3. Fire it up and now you can crank through Killzone 2 even faster with the use of the 360 controllers famed trigger system. Additionally, the adapter also acts as a turbo enabler, letting users add rapid fire to any individual button on the controller simply by flipping a switch. It's like a old NES Advantage, just half a dozen times smaller.

Carrying a MSRP of $39.99, the Cross Battle Adapter is a must for dual console owners who have been waiting for the chance to tear it up on the PS3 with a Xbox 360 controller. For more info, visit the XCM website.

i felt the xbox controller was better and even i faced the same problem as u in the beginning.

but, U'll get used to the ps3 controllers soon and wont have much of a problem then. Buy some 'Trigger extensions' and it'll feel even better imo.

^^ buy a DS3 its much better...but 360 is still better.

Im not talking about the weight....the positioning of the analog sticks is the same and thats the reason why it sucks balls.....not to mention those fking triggers

^^ positioning of the analogs is bad in both PS controllers compared to that of X360 ergonomics whise. But I guess depends on games, for ex: using LB/RB in games like Mirror's edge is more frustrating compared to using the L1/R1.

Never heard you complaining about PS2 controller though for this reason.

But the DS3 is better when it comes to platformers and fighting games - anything that uses a dpad and face buttons. the 360 controller's dpad is a nightmare.

Thats the reason why I mentioned shooters specifically

I didnt have a choice for the PS2 since thats the only last gen console I had
