For re4 styled games it’s ok…. But if it’s anything like re2/re3 , playing in first person is a recipe for heart attack ! Hard pass if that’s the case !

Have you Played RE7?!?

That game is a heart attack!!

We want more of the same experience…true horror game.

Historically. RE survivor and Action games used to release separately with numbered games being Action oriented while Spin offs more focused on survival elements.

RE 1-6 Action focused with 1-2 slightly more tilt towards survival

RE non numbered games like Revelations 1-2, Code Veronica etc are more survival games.

They changed this with RE 7-8 and made them a complete survivalal horror first person games.

I would personally prefer both like old times. Although, I didn't like RE 7 much, will give it another go sometime.

Re2 and 3 are not that scary. In Re2, its mostly Mr X chasing you around whole game lol.

RE7 and that one level in 8 are far more scarier.

You've clearly not played the original RE2/RE3 as a kid.

That f**king dog or Mr. X jumping out of the window alone gave me a heart attack.

Now the new entries are out & out Survival Horror while the Remakes are Survival Action.

Which setup is quite great.

RE7 wasn’t really a traditional RE game I agree but it was much needed to bring back the franchise on the roadmap…& it did.

Don’t think of the past RE games while playing it….it is one awesome experience.

Something that PT(Kojima’s vision of Silent HillS)could have been.

i think Neo was talking about modern remakes. There were lot of jump scares, but still it was not as scary as Silent Hill, Alone in the dark, Condemned and all Imo.

Silent Hill is constant horror. It keeps you on edge entire time you playing the game.

Ok, makes sense. Remakes didn't have jump scares like the originals imo.

Agreed on Silent Hill. Haven't played the remake yet but the originals were constant horror, radio static for enemies closeby was a genius choice, knowing somethings nearby but hideen in the fog.

Them saying Leon isn’t in the game because he won’t be jumpy to horror given his experience sounds like a red herring.

you can’t do raccoon city and not have at least one primary character connected to that place

They probably just want a female lead, and making excuses.

The most popular RE games (2  and 4) have Leon as the lead

DAY ONE

Grace Ashcroft has some seriously LOUD footsteps!

That darkness, the long dimly lit corridors, the stifling and gritty atmosphere and the feeling that you could be attacked any second... whew! I'm psyched for this!
