Been gaming on the 360 for a little over 2 years.... the PS3 bug is starting to bite me. Am on my 2nd 360 and the RROD fear can never die down. I have a few questions before and if i do make the leap: 1.) What exactly do u guys do with the ps3 harddrive? i mean download demos and ofcourse for save-games. Do you also store movies/songs? 2.) The 80gb ps3 in croma looks enticing.... is there anything i must buy seperately. Am gonna hook it up to a Samsung hdtv. To be precise, is there an hdmi cable in-box? 3.) Does croma allow u to choose the "1" free game as per your choice? 4.) I've googled a lot over the past 2 days on the pros n cons of the 40 vs the 80gb. My ps2 is modded and i dont have any original ps2 titles...so backward compatibility goes flyin out of the window... 40gb makes sense then, na? I then figure, at 23k if i get the 40gb... i'll anyways have to buy a game... therefore the 80gb at 26k gets me a free game to start off with as well as the extra 40gb hdd. What do u guys suggest? The hardware seems identical for most part unless i'm missing some techie fineprint. 5.) i stay in thane.... i plan to get from croma or hypercity malad.. would i be charged octroi????? hammerhead Posted March 1, 2009 Report Share Posted March 1, 2009 1. Yes you can also store movies/songs/pics and some games require installation. 2. You have to buy the HDMI cable seperately. 3. I dont think so. (not sure) 4. Go the the 80GB one as it has a free game and a DS3 controller which is much better than the standard Six Axis one you get with the 40GB one. Â shivam gives one year warranty and even if you buy the console for 26,000 from croma and you will get extra warranty plus you will buy one game which is for 3000 so that takes it almost to 30,000!!!! you can save 5,000 and dont compare the 360 with the ps3 in terms of reliabilty.believe me you wont need the 3 year warranty much.even if anything happens to your ps3 after one year you can repair it anywhere for 1 k!! so it still saves a hell lot of money for you!! with 5 k you can probably buy 3 games from the trading post!!! They just make you go round and round for claiming the warranty. I've had this experience with a Nokia mobile phone.
