In Gears of War, I die in like 10 secs flat & I have done at least 1/2 the game on Hardcore. Even in Halo 3, I can't seem to last for long! What do you guys think? ElluMiNaTi Posted March 1, 2009 Report Share Posted March 1, 2009 @ Navm Thats what i used to think when I started playing HALO or any other game...but that's cause you haven't played much of the game My advice to you is to play with the people of your level For ex. when I started playing GOW with Umang, Xeno etc(who are quite familiar with this game) evrybody use to pawn me like sh*t Once you think you are improving, start playing with guyz of better skill..well..that's what i used to do.. I have a great 512 unlimited connection at home! that doesnt mean that yu wont lag.... its yur ping that matters.... and sometimes even that doesnt... even im on 512 unlim and i only get to host the game (Halo 3) every 5th or 6th match... and the non host games are just plain bullshit!! on top of it ive got a pretty decent ping!! this guy named karan here would fill yu up on this lag issue... even he plays on 512 unlim with a decent ping and still he lags every match... his ratio of gettin the host is just 1:10... that too when he plays alone!! You need to keep certain things in mind... It's very hard to be good at a game if you start playing it AFTER everybody else! If you're new to a game and can't seem to adjust, you can always ask for some tips from your fellow SKILLED GIans Understanding what LAG is is a very important part of the game itself. kitson007 Posted March 1, 2009 Report Share Posted March 1, 2009 everything revolves around practise...i mean all the gears and halo pros rode the same boat as you when they started off..i mean every1 starts off by being a noob......gears is a tough game to learn but once you become good it doesjnt seem so difficult...gears 1 was the first online shooter i played and i used to get pawned every game but i just stuck with the shotty and perfected that and then moved on to the next weapon.... when i started playing halo 3 i thought it was sh*t easy to learn because of using the assault rifle and getting kills...but as soon as the team brs playlist got introduced i didnt know what to do...for halo all youve got to do is get your br perfect or near perfect (like getting a 4 shot most of the time when there is no lag)....and grenades are bloody important in halo .....but one easy thing to do in halo is sniping as compared to that of gears or cod.... so just stick to an effective weapon perfect it and then go on to the complicated ones..
