MarketTantrik
lol. Call of Duty is the best multiplayer game I've played. It's perfectly balanced, fun and perfect for noobs. right? RIGHT? You kidding? n00bs get totally pwnt in CoD.
HundredProofSam
this is what i was referring to in the KZ2 thread....there are many MP shooters that arent easy for newcomers.....there is a trick you need to figure out to be good at it...master the maps, pick the right weapons....the people who have been playing the game for a long time will own you left and right....that isnt the case in KZ2 or COD4 (the little that i played)....the MP in these games is well-balanced so even if your playing as a regular soldier, you dont feel bogged down @xZ D3V!L Zx: one image in sig only...and why do u have three gamercards of the same GT anyway? peace

Give it a month and the familiar patterns of n00b ownage will emerge.
TRMNTR
You kidding? n00bs get totally pwnt in CoD. n00bs would be those ppl who aren't familiar with FPS games. Otherwise, they aren't actually n00bs. Right?

Right? n00bs include FPS "no hopes" and players who are unfamiliar with that particular game.
TRMNTR
n00bs include FPS "no hopes" and players who are unfamiliar with that particular game. They aren't actually n00bs 'cause I remember playing COD like 2-3 times (20 or so matches) and totally owned in matchmaking!

Aftrunner
I think you have to be realistic about MP. For example if you go and play Halo 3 today chances are you are playing people who have been playing on and off for nearly two years. So if you expect to walk in and compete you will be dissapointed. Same is true for any MP game thats been out for a while. Thats why I mostly prefer to play team based games instead of free for all. At least that way only half the people on the game are trying to kill me. Still doesnt help when the other team is made up of freaks of nature like Karan here. Doobz
dude , COD 4 was punishing , i used to charge in and get snapped like a tooth pick. Whereas the whole noob thing is , i th8 it would much easier for other ppl cuz halo was the first time ,i played online ( played mmo's but that dint count) . And i was gaming on the 360 and had not played games on my pc for 3-4 years. So if i managed to get the hang of the game ,i dont think u should have alot of probs. gettin used to it. BTW - dont think cuz u were good in the SP u will own in Mp , thats the reason why the case has a warning given, that says Gameplay experience may change online. Keyofx
Nope. Its never fun when you are getting your a*s handed to you. So it was just me then? :/ But seriously, the difficulty/l33t curve in CoD is a lot easier to overcome than other games. Battlefield: Bad Company is another one I really like. Put in a modest number of early hours learning the ropes and you'll have a great time. From personal experience, it never worked the same way with either Halo or GeoW (horde aside). MarketTantrik
^^ You are right to a certain extent. Halo and GeoW have a much higher learning curve because of the weapon balance, control dynamics and control scheme. CoD4 strips all of it down to the essentials. I never got around to liking BF:BC even though I did become quite good at it.
Bulovski
One game easy for noobs in MP is TF2. Because of its class based activity people can come in and get used to the mechanics. Gears on the other hand is a different matter - you need to play regularly to improve. Ask around how often I get massacred. A good MP game should come with a good matchmaking system and balanced classes and weapons.
