Isn't multiplayer too difficult?

^^ You are right to a certain extent. Halo and GeoW have a much higher learning curve because of the weapon balance, control dynamics and control scheme. CoD4 strips all of it down to the essentials.

I never got around to liking BF:BC even though I did become quite good at it.

Gears of War has the steepest learning curve among all the multiplayer shooters ive played

lol. Call of Duty is the best multiplayer game I've played. It's perfectly balanced, fun and perfect for noobs. right? RIGHT?

you've gotta be kidding me! Call of Duty 4 is one game whose MP i didn't enjoy in the least( whereas the SP is a totally different story)

its too bloody easy to die in CoD!

from what i remember, in one on one situations, it was usually the person who started shooting first who won.

not to mention that i found the grenades awfully cheap.

Not only is TF2 one of the best MP experiences around, but the on-screen action and animations are always good for a laugh!

So how about so TF2 action huh?

i enjoyed whatever little I've played of that game.

too bad there weren't too many players back then.

btw i think I've played TF2 with you once on my old GT.

Even I think COD4 MP is the easiest to pick up. Haven't played Halo but what I found in Gears MP is that the gameplay is totally different compared to the SP. The action in Gears MP moves very fast, whereas in the SP you can take it a bit slow and strategize a bit.

In MP you have to be really quick on your feet. I've seen people do crazy stuff like melee with a shotgun, then shoot, flip back, take out a grenade and boom! you're in 4 pieces. All this while I like a stud am walking towards the guy with my chainsaw revved up. I mean that used to work well in the SP

COD MP on the other hand is very similar to the SP. If you've completed the SP campaign on the tougher difficulty, chances are you'll do reasonably well online.

i played like 3 to 4 hours of CoD 4 online and i did reasonably well.

but i still found it infuriating as hell.

Have to agree with you :) ...Played 2-3 matches of COD 4 and that's the only conclusion I came to.

MP too difficult?? dude u need to understand that ur playing with real ppl who are 100x more inteligent the ur average bots in SP. U making this thread really annoys me.

U come under either one of these categories. A noob at first but eventually starts pciking up and gets the hang of the game OR u simply suck at MP, u lack skill and no matter how much u play u still suck and i usually hate such ppl. In my opinion i think they are ignorant and really dont care bout learning the game.

Soo which one are u??

@saha: get checked by a doc .. u might be suffering from attention deficit disorder and obessive compulsive need for annoying ppl.

on topic ..

have patience ... give it some time, stick one class/weapon playing style , play with your friends, avoid aholes and u will learn

You dont have to think much about it bro... Your new to online Mp it will surely take some time for you to fit in the League.

1. Start of by playing COD4 its the easiest online MP shooter game to start of with trust me ..

2. Prepare yourself to get owned for the first few days [ you dont have to get sad n annoyed about gaming its just the start ]

3. Watch your fellow members playing , talk to them use your mic on live PLEASE it really helps.

4. Try every weapon in the game n select the one which suites your style the best. [ i hope you dont turn out to be a sniper  lol i still cant snipe in cod4 ]

5. Dont play Free for all games always go for a team based game for eg. TEAM DEATHMATCH

If you like halo 3 try playing some matchmaking games alone , coz if you grab anyone from the forum to play, trust me thier ranks are high and your team finds kickass players at the end of the search.. Play online [ SEARCH GAMES ALONE ] and find people according to your skill level [ i think this works the best with h3 only.]

Trust me if you try this you will just LOVE online MP games be it any Cod4 , Halo3 , Gears 1 & 2. but let me tell you something bhai your missing alot if you dont try online mp gaming its the best !!!

peace.
