muin
what do you think about Sony DAV-IS10/B is it worth the money (40k) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ne0
^^ be it any HT, you should audition it to check if it matches your taste. For ex: many have problems with sony/philips models, but I was blown away by philips. Some others prefer onkyo/yamaha, and some prefer custom setups. So, please audition and see what YOU prefer, don't just go by big names. At the end of the day, you are the one paying and will be listening to it ok, for the advice, I haven't heard this particular model, so can't comment on it. In general, I didn't quite like Sony from whatever I heard of it. I find them too flat, they go very loud, but thats about it.
m-JeRi
man..stay away from sony and all.... its not at all worth the 40k...
zophar
onkyo is solid pretty much their entire range
muin
but still onkyo lacks in bass punch, though the clarity is good,,,,,,,,
Liquid ocelot
Audition them, let your ears be the judge. The sony is okay,it does a job,but it's nothing spectacular, btw, take a look at the grey market, those can be had for less than half that price. The DZ870 sells for about 26k there(from malaysia, chennai burma bazaar).. In fact they were very treblish and the bass was quite loose, but it's for my dad who isnt an audiophile, and loves a bright sound(to the point where it sounds harsh to me),so it's okay for him. The onlyo was good for movies, but for music it wasnt that great. The philips I havent heard, but it's a model lot of people seem to like. If you have the time and money, try building one part by part(front speakers and amp, then rear etc) I'm eyeing a pair of jamo speakers when I get the cash....
