Final Fantasy XIII

DAT IDIOT!

Recommended Posts

Who's reviewing it?

 Now go back and read some of my posts today.

Final Fantasy XIII - 84 (PS3), 87 (Xbox 360) [Till now]

And the Marks and the secret Eidolons. Was awesome. Loved grinding levels in that game!

This.

Incoming from KC about inverted controls ...

Has any review yet harped on the story? I don't think so and that's a tad worrying. Three things have stood out till now - looks mindblowing, great battle system, music.

Final Fantasy 12 music was nothing compared to all the other ff games out.

I have a feeling GS and IGN will both go up on 8th. IGN already posted that they got the game on time but because of the clock glitch all their ps3 systems went down and couldn't do the review. I guess same at GS - unless they want to post their 360 review earlier. I would guess GS would give 8 and 8.5 to 360 / PS3.

How come no one loves Tactics? :samui:

lol who said that? It is probably my favorite FF game (the first one and its remake war of the lions). The story, AI, gameplay mechanic are all something beyond words. You could say it defines the srpg genre.

Do you guys think that the game would have been much better if it was not multiplat?

Not the core game, but just the addition of a Japanese VA would have made a lot of difference. And its not really clear if they made any big sacrifices for the x360 version or not.

Square Enix "Suspicious" That Avatar Was Influenced By Final Fantasy XIII

:spank:

500x_avatar.jpg

Avatar, the biggest grossing film ever, looks familiar, says Square Enix's Motomu Toriyama, director of Final Fantasy XIII. A little too familiar.

"The in-game universe this time around is quite fantasy based, but also futuristic at the same time," Toriyama told website Tech Digest in a recent interview. "We never really had any particular reference points for Final Fantasy XIII, in terms of places where we drew inspiration from. That said, we're a little suspicious that the world famous Avatar movie might have take inspiration from us!"

That's right, because Final Fantasy XIII invented the fantasy-based, futuristic look! Of course it didn't, and like me, Toriyama might have been joking.

:O
