So I take it Hard is the best difficulty to have a go at it? Did alright in the first chapter on hard but I did die a few times. Just dont wanna run into any brutal difficulty spikes.

The game actually gets easier as your progress. At least that was the case on normal...

I actually ran into a game breaking glitch towards the end.

The bridge run where you have to shoot past a bunch of poltergeist's. The bulldozer at the end just disappeared but the shovel kept attacking me. I had to follow the trail of dust and was lucky enough to punch a flare or two through...I got lucky

I really shouldnt have started on Hard. I ran out of bullets once in the second chapter and died a whole bunch of times while I was just trying to leg it from one safe place to another with no ammo. Now, even when I have ammo I end up trying to use as little as possible. Then I end up having a shitload left at the end of a chapter. If I had finished it once on normal I would have known when I could go apeshit and burn ammo but now I have no idea. It makes the game tense but not in the way I expected.

Also I dont know if its just me but AW voice seems a bit off. At times its almost like the actor is phoning it in. Aside from that I am enjoying it a lot. Its very, VERY pretty (shame most of the game is set in the dark woods) and almost all of the exterior daytime scenes are amazing to look at.

Apart from its breath-taking visuals (especially during day-time) and a very gripping storyline, the gameplay seemed a lil' monotonous to me... Same old sh*t happening again and again... Its like i keep waiting to get my a*s freezed when a shadow pops out from the back, everytime.... But, overall this game was fun and I'm glad that i chose to finish it!!

Exactly my thoughts. Specially the 3rd episode which was unnecessarily stretched. But overall the game is fun.

Yeah I can see it getting boring fast. It only seems to have that one trick up its sleeve. And there are moments when it feels like its an idea for one really amazing level stretched into a whole game. But the harder difficulty amps up the tension and is keeping things fun and interesting for now. Its a fake way to do it but I think if I was on normal I would probably be starting to get bored of the game right now.

Its a shame it sold like the Bubonic plague cause a sequel with some fresh ideas and something more than an endless trek through a forest at night could have have been really amazing. Waste of some excellent tech as it is. :|

BTW the Remedy logo has a bullet in the center. I had no idea until recently.
