I really dont like AW. Not the game, the character. For one his voice acting is really starting to grate. And that is a problem cause most of the game has narration. Seriously, for an insomniac character why does he sound so sleepy all the time? Should have just paid Ron perlman to do the VO. Also the character is just plain unlikeable, which in a way is actually good writing. For once a flawed hero doesnt just mean an Indian Jones rip off. The guy really has some issues.

Barry Wheeler on the other hand is the man! One of the best characters this year since a certain ME2 salarian.

Also, spawning enemies behind your back is a really shitty trick. Doom 3 did this with some regularity. AW does it often enough to make me rage. Another thing I really f**king hate about the game is that AW CANT f**king RUN. I mean seriously, dude is so out of shape he has to stop and catch his breath after every 8 seconds. And god forbid you should try to dodge an enemy while you run cause then he needs to slow down every 4 seconds. a**hole!

He isn't suffering from insomnia.

And yea totally agree about enemies spawning behind you & Alan Wake exhausting too soon (this is after the enemies having an unlimited supply of throwable axe & them being almost 3 times faster than you)

....I guessed the score even before clicking that link, EG is being total dick when it comes to Alan Wake. Seems they didn't like him cuz hes poorly dressed.

I ignore this review completely, DLC is free anyway.
