Man In The Box
OMG, have you guys played the free dlc that we get with the game? It's called 'The Signal' and it's awesome. Actually, that DLC answers most of the questions that one has after finishing Episode 6. Some missions in the DLC are really awesome like the Blast Room sequence and following the spotlight to exit the area . Seriously guys, play the DLC as after playing that only you will see the credits rolling. The game is totally incomplete without it. I really love Alan Wake now that I have finishing all the 6 episodes and the DLC. What a concept

Ne0
started the game yesterday. Been lying with me for like 2 months. So far I found it pretty boring. Let me see if it gets better later on.

Ne0
^^ So its boring till the end then ? I'm a sucker for psycho thrillers, hence bought the game. The visuals are awesome though.
Bulovski
No - it gets boring only in the 3rd chapter, otherwise a pretty good game. The boring part is really because they wanted to ensure the game is over 6 hours. I would have preferred some of the treks cut out.
spindoctor
^^ So its boring till the end then ? I'm a sucker for psycho thrillers, hence bought the game. The visuals are awesome though. yea the graphics and atmosphere are very nicely done. however, the game is repetitive beyond comprehension. have you run through a jungle path at night and been attacked by enemies along the way yet? if yes, you have seen 80% of the game already... because that will be repeated ad nauseam till the end. Ne0
^^ Thats sad. I was really hoping this game would be a winner. Also, I'm finding the combat a bit clunky. I'll play a few more chapters before I decide to give up.
Tyler
I really liked the combat in Alan Wake. It gets better as you go. It's the horror element that didn't do anything for me. I didn't find the game one bit scary. Alan Wake is like a Scooby Doo cartoon compared to a game like Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
MarketTantrik
@Neo: Stick with it. There are some truly OMFG moments in the game especially after Chapter 3.

Bulovski
No no I am serious. Btw Time's also another confirmed xbot place. Kinect is again in their list of top gadgets for the year, no sign of Move.
Aftrunner
Wow seriously? Well I guess standards were lowered appreciably after the Facebook fella won Man of the year.
shockwave
Heh. I am happy. No doubt ME2 beats all other games hands down, but Alan Wake is undoubtedly one of the games that came out this year. The story is fantastic and original and gameplay is refreshing (albeit repetitive). I am sure Remedy will learn from their mistakes and listen to their fans to make the sequel even better. @Bul: You really thought Move was in the race of innovative gadgets of the year? 'Pranay
Alan Wake is a bloody Great Game. Will Give it 9/10. It could had been an epic game, it just lacked varierty in gameplay. Story, GFX and atmosphere were Great. IMO Alan wake 2 can be much much better if they improve the cons which im sure they can Edited December 16, 2010 by blahmaster
