jDaMn
I may be wrong here but aren't the margins on PC games sales higher? Don't the devs/publishers have to pay royalties to the console manufacturers for console games sales. What with the consoles being sold at a loss and all. There isn't any of that for PC games so ideally the devs should be getting more moolah per cop sold on the PC. Right? What am I missing here? Consoles are sold at a loss only when new (later costs go down and the company makes a profit on each console sold) - unless it's the Wii, which has been sold at a profit from day 1. As for the margins & royalties, I'm just guessing, but surely they are different for different games? And... Alan Wake?

And you could be right, it may increase or decrease depending on numbers sold. I'm sure each manufacturer has it's own model. Alan WHO? Keyofx
GeoW2 was first party though. I'm sure MS wouldn't charge itself royalties. Unless Redmond is a cover-up for mafia money laundering!!

Keyofx
No character introductions so it's definitely not the opening level. Very moody, though..

Tyler
I'm not gonna watch any videos or read anything about the game. The game supposedly has a huge twist, and I'm not gonna spoil it for myself.

The game supposedly has a huge twist, and I'm not gonna spoil it for myself. Oh come on! You just know the "huge twist" is gonna be that his wife was was dead all along. Or alive all along. Or he has a daughter. Or that his wife has a sister. Or that its all in his head. Lets face it, chances are its gonna be cliche as hell and you will be able to guess the twist within one hour. Only game that has ever gotten a twist dead on is KotoR. Aside from that one there isnt a single game where you go "Oh I didnt see that coming." Even Silent Hill 2's twist was predictable but was handled very skillfully.

Aftrunner
^^Oh yeah, the David Lynch version of a video game. Honestly though, too abstract to consider it. Edited November 13, 2009 by Aftrunner
Keyofx
The waxed one has a point. @Afty: Abstract or not, it still had a twist! Edited November 13, 2009 by keyofx

Keyofx
^^Which is one of the considered theories. Sorry, no sale. I win. Champagne for everybody. Nonono. The last level WAS the twist. You actually get to PLAY it out! It's pretty much in your face. no, the atomic bomb analogy isn't the twist
Bulovski
Braid / Thief / Starcraft all have great twists. Well Braid not so much - it's the 4 ft equivalent of a 4inch clue in a crime scene. Trying hard not to watch the videos.
