so the gap between 360 and ps3 sales are going to keep increasing - i am excited. don't you have a god of war 3 thread to weep in?

Alan Wake will not push consoles. Reach - yes. and COD7 will push consoles - just see the effect of COD6. Fable 3 will push consoles. And of course

Gears 3

Neither Alan Wake nor Fable 3 will be console sellers.

Alan Wake will sail in the same boat as Heavy Rain.

I think it will sell well. It might not sell consoles but now that its exclusive you can bet MS will push it forward with a nice big campaign. Plus a lot of people (like me) who would have held out for the PC version will take the plunge.

I am betting 500k in the first month.

so ull be excited if the 360 sells more? at that age.. anything can be too much.

on another thought.. with the amount of time and i'm guessing resources this game has taken, you can bet MS are gonna give some marketing 101s to make sure it sells damn well. and takes some consoles along with it.

After reading that article I have a question

"Is Remedy part of M$'s next BUngie"

I seriously don't get what was so great about Fable 2 for it to do so well critically and commercially. I'm about halfway through it now, and I really don't feel like going back to it.

Alan Wake on the other hand looks like tits. Day 1.

peace

You don't wanna go back to Fable 2 after you've gone half way through? :P:O

really ?? imo alan wake will do more numbers than heavy rain, simply because, if nothing else.. the game is a more traditional game as in you controlling your character and fighting. well provided the game itself turns out to be good, that is.

also, now i want a 360. getting all silent hill vibes from it.

True. Fable II is not really a marquee title. Its simply an enjoyable game.

I agree. Plus if they've kept the sandbox elements/open world exploration, then it's a completely different game.

As for Marketing, as someone already said, MS is bound to pimp it like a blockbuster title.

Microsoft: Alan Wake will no longer be coming to the PC

http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/6978/...oming-to-the-pc

:P

Wow, sorry for using the large sized gif but it perfectly conveys how seriously pissed off I am. What a bullshit reason for not bringing the game to the PC heh. Microsoft's harem now includes their latest addition Remedy.

Alan Wake film being considered

"When thinking about Alan Wake in general, our intention from the beginning has been to build something bigger than just one game. Definitely we have planned the story to be a larger story," the game's writer, Sam Lake told Blend Games in an interview. "The player is plunged deep into Alan Wake's world but at the same time, we are opening doors to an even larger story beyond this."

When asked if he meant they'd switch to a different main character besides Alan, Lake added: "Well it very much revolves around Alan Wake himself but beyond this story, if you will. And certainly we are looking into other opportunities. We think that Alan Wake would work very well outside video games as well."
