Yes we don't, we were never promised any of them would be appearing on the PC only to have them taken away. Sony did not close down a nice development studio dedicated to bringing RTS games on the PC, Sony did not make Epic give up making PC games. I hate the fact that they said Alan Wake is coming to the PC, they held a demonstration using the Intel Quad Cores saying how it will take advantage of the same at the Intel Developers Conference and not to forget the use of DX 10. A year later they said they are focussing on the 360 version at that time and now they say the game is best experienced on a couch - seriously that's their reason, sounds like the reason every console fanboy gives whenever a PC vs Console debate comes up. I also remember an interview where the MS official said they want to limit the number of cross platform titles coming to the PC as much as possible since most people in Europe would rather buy the PC version. I have nothing against the 360 or it's games it's this kind of attitude from MS which annoys me a lot. I wanted to express how it was annoying to have the game taken away from my platform of choice, don't I have the right to express that without people coming in and asking me to suck it up. I am going to suck it up and deal with it offcourse, do I have a choice in this at all? In any case I am done with this thread, the game isn't coming to the PC, I have nothing else to discuss. The disappointment is perfectly justified. Alan Wake was always projected as an Xbox 360 and PC game since the day it was announced. As for "doing what's in their best interest", you can justify anything with that. Why is Splinter Cell all action oriented now? Coz Ubisoft can sell more of it that way. It's in their best interest. It isn't stopping you from throwing hissy fits every other day in the Conviction thread, is it? peace Yeah but only one of those two scenarios has a game being sold, isnt it? I will be buying SC and the complainers wont be buying AW. And if you arent going to buy AW then the developers dont owe you jack. To use an analogy, if Pepsi decide not to sell Pepsi from tomorrow then its their call. You arent buying it, they arent getting your money. You are no longer their customer. But if they decide to change the taste of Pepsi and you dont like it then then you have a right to complaint. Get over it. And just to reiterate, without MS, PC gaming would be a very, very poor place to be right now. If it was only Sony and Nintendo in it this gen how many multiplatform console games would you be playing on the PC? Wanna guess? Anyone remember the old PS1 and N64 days? MarketTantrik Posted February 13, 2010 Report Share Posted February 13, 2010 The sudden cancellation of the PC version is bad for us gamers, but probably makes economic sense for Microsoft. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if the game makes it way to PCs at some point in the future, maybe through a third party publisher that buys the publishing rights from Microsoft. That way, MS gets its money up front and doesnt take on any of the piracy risks and related losses. I am sad about the cancellation because it gives me one less reason to get myself a gaming PC.
