The only reason why Blizzard makes so much $$$ off it is because WOW's popularity is legendary. I still won't consider them "greedy". But MS accessories (apart from the flimsy headset) aren't crappy. I have the Wifi adapter, the messenger pad, extra controller etc and I haven't had any problem with any of them so far. Joy Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 EA is greedy because they try to sell more games as a result they force their developers to work quickly and release games asap and not provining the developers adequate time to add new contents or make the game better, as a result the games lack new variety and feel same as last year or get even worse... like NFS,Madden series . with exception of fifa on consoles which has improved down the years... Also they try to buy out most top publishers and devs , like they tried to buy out Take-Two last year , as they desperately wanted to have Call of Duty , Bioshock , GTA series etc.. under their belt.. , before GTA4 got released... , When I heard about this news that EA was trying to buy out Take-Two , million of gamers accross the world were praying and hoping that this deal doesn't go through... otherwise you would have been playing crappy versions of GTA5 and COD6 by now on your consoles... In conclusion all EA thinks is money , they don't give a crap about gamers and devs.. , that's my opinion , although I do agree that Microsoft is a complete greedy wh*re as well , but we balance it out by pirating their software... Madden 09 was a fantastic game - one of the best in the series if you read the reviews. And it sold crazy volumes. EA trying to buy companies is not greedy - that's business. They have money lying around and want to buy companies - nothing wrong with that. Google does the same thing year after year. I work for a company which budgets a significant amount of money just to buy out companies. Oh and we got GTA IV last year, and GTA DS this year, and if rumours are true, GTA V next year. R* seems to subscribe to that policy as well. The fact is that all of them do. While we as customers would want to imagine that we are appreciating art, they are trying to run a business. EA is a cash hoar because they apply the sequel formula to everything they own - which results in quite a lot of crappy quality for their non-premium titles. And it's very very rare that they release something completely standalone like Dead Space - wish there were more like it. And to anyone who says Blizzard is greedy FOGUG!!! That is the one company I have a lot of respect for because they deliver quality with every single game. They don't care about pushing out games quickly but they push out good games because they are sure it will make them lots of money. The only good thing about them is that third party options are available. as far as crappy accessories, i was referring to my experience with an xbox 360 racing wheel and many xbox live wired headsets (pricing those at 1k is ridiculous) why should i have to pay 2.5k for a BT headset when i can get an equally good (or even better) one for 800 and use it with my phone and PS3 as well? peace Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
