How do I connect Tata Sky/Wii to Dell S2409 :D

Hi guys,

As most of you know, I bought a Dell S2409 24" Full HD Monitor mostly for the 360 that am gonna purchase in the near future :D Well, initially I was saving up for the 360 but then I read up on the forums that if you don't own a Full HD LCD, then it's not even worth playing with the 360 coz it would look shitty on a regular TV :P, so I went ahead and bought this monitor first and now am saving up for the 360 ;)

Anyways...so now after I got this monitor, I really don't like my 21" Onida anymore :P and now am thinking of playing all my Wii games on this monitor, but my only problem is that it ain't got no composite or component input, only VGA, DVI, and HDMI.

So, how would you guys suggest me to go on and get my Wii connected to this monitor

Any help in this regards will be greatly appreciated. Thanx a lot in advance :)

PS: Really didn't know which forum this would go in :P but since it was a monitor-related question, I thought I would put it in PC Techzone :)

I don't think you can. AFAIK there are no converters from composite/component to DVI/VGA/HDMI.

Lemme google.

Edit I apologise. Apparently you can. Its expensive though.

Yeah...even I googled, but I thought I would post here. May be we Indians got a cheaper solution  Anyways, am not familiar with all the cables and converters that come for Full HD Monitors, and thought guys here at GI were more knowledgeable than me with regards to that ;)

Hi guys,

Sorry for reviving this old thread, but I couldn't find that VGA to Component cable anywhere :( and after doing a lot of research on the internet, I came across this...

VD-W2 Wii VGA cable

Click on the image to go to the official website  It's available for $40 US, and am thinking of getting this via KMD. What do you guys think ? It saves me from buying a Wii component cable too as this connects directly to the Wii  You can read a review of it here...

DCEmu Review: VDigi VD-W2 Wii VGA Cable

Previously, I was thinking of getting this...

Component_VGA_RCA.jpg

and connecting it to a Wii component cable using couplers, but I can't find that cable anywhere :( If anyone of you can find it for me, I'll be more than happy to get it from you :P

So...what do ya guys think :)

Edit: Okay, I just noticed that the VGA connector in both pics are different. The VDigi one is a male and the other one is a female. I guess I need a male so it connects directly to my Dell monitor :)

^^^

Get a external TV tuner if you can find the cables....

@KG...

Happy to help others... :fear:....... stop saying this.... I am embarressed.. :)

Getting an external TV Tuner will not make sense coz a good external TV Tuner will cost around 2.5 K..

And tata sky already comes with built in tuner and remote..

So VGA to VIDEO cable is the best option..
