Try updating your direct x, visual C++, and check if you installed all the secondary applications needed for the game(if any, Gta 4 needed RGSC/GFW). Lastly, try updating your GPU drivers. Ne0 Posted June 1, 2012 Report Share Posted June 1, 2012 I've updated the drivers and all the directx , vc8 stuff....whatever is required....still crashes. I think its the issue with display driver , I can see the 'AMD driver has crashed and now recovered' bubble. Ne0 Posted June 1, 2012 Report Share Posted June 1, 2012 (edited) ok finally resolved it, looks like by default the game set everything to max exceeding the video memory .... so, this is what i did : 1. Start in safe mode / windowed mode (using launcher options in steam) 2. Game launches with dx9 and 800x600, now change to dx10.1 and set the options based on the video memory available (you can actually see it down). Game works perfect now .... in the second chapter .... gfx is awesome .... and the bullet time is just as per the original max payne. Story seems to be heavily inspired from 'man on fire'.
