nautical_j
Also any detailed comparison of versions surfaced yet? Gamespot gives the PS3 version a 9.0 as well... Why all the fuss?? http://asia.gamespot.com/max-payne-3/reviews/max-payne-3-review-6376816/

nautical_j
^ GS reviewed the game on 360 and not on PS3 The link I have posted is the one to PS3 review... And if there was a huge difference between the platforms (as mentioned in this thread) then the two versions would have got different scores... Something like Bayonetta (8.5 on PS3, 9 on 360) and also Fallout 3... Since GS has given the same score for all the platforms, my guess here is that the differences are trivial or even made up... Big Boss
^RDR and GTA 4 scores are the same. Both games were superior on 360. Same goes with Skyrim. Wait for DF article, they will analyze and compare both versions soon. Article should be up by the weekend.
DinJo
Can't understand why people guess on forums. Unless its a broken port the review score differ otherwise not, its being confirmed by GS reviewer to me.

ctrl_alt_del
Played for a couple of hours last night. Game looks good. The additional ghosting-effects and other such VFX is getting tiresome now. Comic-book panel like cutscenes are few and far between. Characters during cut-scene look wooden with virtually no expression or lip-movement. Combat is amazing as ever. Shot-dodging is fun but there will be times when Max cannot aim at a particular person during shot-dodging because it would be physically impossible in real-life. Final kill cam looks amazing, especially when you slow it down even further and continue shooting, seeing the bullets hit their marks, up close. Similalry the first time you see Max melee someone and then execute him, you will go "Whoa!" especially because the game will not tell you that you can execute him right now. Hunting for pain-killers is a pain (ha ha!). There is so much detail in every level that finding a small painkiller bottle, which does not glow or otherwise attract attention to itself, becomes nigh impossible, unless it is in a medicine cabinet. Interactivity with the level itself has been limited to examining clues at times, though I am not sure where that is leading to. No piano yet on which Max can play the Max Payne theme. Haven't played multiplayer yet. Playing on PS3 in Free Aim mode on medium difficulty.
Somebody
^^ I was playing in the medium aim-assist setting and didn't really like the aiming. Somebody Any frame-rate or graphical issues ? None that I noticed during gameplay, although it did stutter a little bit once in a while during cutscenes. Nothing too distracting. This guy said it was pretty good. He seems trustworthy. ctrl_alt_del
More people were getting it for the PS3 plus one disc is more convenient than two.
Keyofx
I'm still confused. Are there any performance comparisons?

ctrl_alt_del
I haven't played the X360 version but so far I have no reason to complain. The cut-scenes could have been smoother but otherwise the game is great on the PS3.

nautical_j
Textures are smoother on 360 when compared to PS3. Is this a personal judgement or is there a source for this?
