Aftrunner Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 Played some Team Swats for the first time (since I have all the MP maps now) and I am weirdly good at it. Dont get me wrong I still blow at most other game-types but Swat feels really right. Also Citadel is a really poor map. Looks like Bungie pretty much phoned that one in. Honestly, its way better than Sidewinder despite being the same thing design wise. Its better than Valhalla. And (this is heresy) but its even better than Bloodgulch. Whoever got to the sniper on top of the base was always gonna have a good game. So many good memories of playing on that one. I wish there was a way to close off the exits and play on one side of the map in Avalanche. Would make for some fantastic battles with the cannons and all. Aftrunner Posted October 4, 2009 Report Share Posted October 4, 2009 Ugh you know what I have learned over the last couple of weeks of playing Big team matches? Avoid the high ranked players like the plague. Almost every time my team has had these 40+ skill guys I have ended up on the loosing side or with a tied game. Why? They dont wanna play Defense. They dont wanna help out with offense. The only strategy they have (no matter what the match CTF, One bomb etc) is to go for the Sniper or any other powerful weapon and then just camp out the whole match trying to get as many kills as possible and hope someone else is a better team player than them. Worst every now and then one of them will betray the other for the Sniper and they will spend the whole match killing each other. Often, pretty much everyone in the team ends up with a +ve KD ratio and yet lose the game 1-0 or 2-0. WTF is wrong with these people? You wanna get kills play Slayer FFS! Below 40 everyone plays a good team game but I think hitting the 40 mark turns them into f**kwits of the highest order. Not saying every 40 guy is a c*nt. Just everyone I have met lately. Thankfully most of the times the matchmaking works and puts you up against good people. But when the stars align be prepared to have a shitty game. I prefer playing customs/MLG/Team Snipers/Swat or anything else which includes/requires good team work. Playing Big team games is the last thing i would do.
