Don Karnage
SanDisk MSPDs are faster than Sony MSPDs , and I was also saving somewhere around 500 bucks too :wink5: Could you please post a link if you can find the read/ write speed specs for SanDisk MSPD? I couldn't find any and there seem to be multiple models (?) - SanDisk site has Memory Stick PRO Duo™ 8GB 'SDMSG-8192-A10' while NewEgg (and other retailers) have SDMSPD-8192-A11. EDIT: Any tips on getting a PSP Slim from Palika would be appreciated (price, included memory stick, etc.).
Fire Wolf
I recently applied the PS2 Analog Stick mod on my PSP, it works great, much better grip than the pathetic analog nub.

I read an article by Gamespot way back around a year ago where they had compared both the MSPDs with all the high tech specs and sh*t, and SanDisk came out as a winner I also read various posts on various forums where people said the read speeds of SanDisk MSPDs were higher than Sony's Have been using the PSPTube app...man its pretty good! just download the Youtube videos and directly watch it on PSPTube..no need for video conversion. Anyway, does a PSP Slim bought from Palika come with a memory stick (what capacity, what price, are there any options)? Is there anything else I should look out for? The reason I ask is that I'll be asking someone else to buy it for me and I want to give them as much info as possible beforehand.

MarketTantrik
Any ideas as to where can one get a PSP Slim modded in Mumbai and for how much? Anywhere from INR 700/- to 1500/-. I got mine and MightySkate's modded from a chap in Musafir Khana whose address I have posted earlier in this thread. This guy charges INR 1400/- for the mod + INR 100/- for a game ISO. The reason I chose him is 'cause he gives a guarantee of a free replacement PSP (same model as that you have given him to mod - Phat / Slim) in the event that your PSP gets bricked in the modding process. ctrl_alt_del
@MT: 1400/-? Whew! I guess that's because of the replacement warranty. Atek got his done for 500/- here in Bangalore. @Snake: The question was for Major. Mine, I gifted it to my cousin on his marriage, remember? Fire Wolf
I recently applied the PS2 Analog Stick mod on my PSP, it works great, much better grip than the pathetic analog nub. Will it work with a PSP Slim ? I think it should, since I think that the size of the analog nub on both the PSPs is same. Even if it doesn't work, it isn't much of a loss, since you can put back the analog nub easily, plus the analog stick just cost me Rs. 10. 1400, wow. I guess I got mine quite cheaply for Rs. 350 along with 6 ISOs. I should start modding people's PSPs after my exams

MarketTantrik
^^ Can we do it ourselves? Is there any disassembly involved? Anywhere I can get it done in Mumbai. I'm addicted to F12006 on my PSP and I can already appreciate the benefits of this mod.
Fire Wolf
Yeah, it's quite easy to do and there's no disassembly involved. You can easily take out the analog nub and even switch it whenever you want. First you need to procure an analog stick and shave off the little hood it has on it's bottom. Then you just need to grind the connector with sandpaper to make it fit onto the PSP. My grandfather did it in around 10 minutes.
