has anyone tried 4.01 M33?.. what r its benefits???? it can be downloaded here

Am already on 4.01 M33-2. Its working good on my slim. Haven't noticed any problems yet :( There aren't any particular benefits upgrading from 3.90 M33 but I like keeping my slim updated to the latest CFW only if source is good. Didn't upgrade to 3.95 GEN or whatever that was coz it wasn't from Dax, and frankly speaking, there was no need for it.

Also, I like using CXMB and custom themes for my PSP, and I know for sure that people who make custom themes ALWAYS make them compatible with the latest CFW, so I upgraded :P

i want MSX and NES emu's for my FAT PSP (4.01) ....download link pls :wOOtjumpy::dance:

Am so sorry dude....I read your PM and totally forgot all about it as I was busy when I read it. Anyways, here they are....

MSX

http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,1,30

NES

http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,1,5

Never tried the MSX one (as I don't even know what it is :wOOtjumpy:) but I've played NES games on my slim but not on 4.05 though. You'll have to download it and check it out whether it works on 4.01 or not. If they don't work, then I guess you'll have to install the 1.50 plugin for the FAT :wOOtjumpy:

Lemme know how it goes.

Enjoy!!!

Hi Guys,

I wanna buy a PSP and wanna ask a couple of questions :

1) Which is the best place in Mumbai to buy a PSP? Should I buy it officially from Sony or should I buy it from the Grey market and get it downgraded at the same place?

2) If I buy it officially from Sony then which is the best place in Mumbai to get it hacked or downgraded so that I can play downloaded games on it?

3) Any other thing which I need to ensure before buying a PSP?

trivisingh,

1) Buy from Sony, it's cheaper. You can always get the firmware updates from the grey market for a measly sum. And it's a reversible process so you get your warranty too. Win Win.

2)Mumbaikars would be better equipped to answer that.

3)Nothing. You've decided to go for a PSP, one of the finest handhelds of the decade. Congrats!

I would say get a scratch guard for your PSP's screen and apply it from Day 1. Also, since you're gonna get it downgraded, you're gonna need a bigger mem stick to put many games on your PSP. I would say go ahead with a genuine 4 gb Sony/SanDisk memory stick. :(

The psp is pretty restrictive in terms of the types of video files u can play. Is there any user developed video player which gives more choice in terms of video formats? thnx a lot.

As of now, I don't think there is any who will let you play Divx/Xvid files, but there is a program called PSPTube, which will allow you to run .flv files (downloaded from sites like YouTube) :P You can directly connect your PSP to the internet through WiFi and watch videos online or you can play .flv files already saved on your mem stick. Also, PSPTube might just let you play some .avi files too but it's very picky and might not give the desirable effect
