The PSP Homebrew Thread

the psp would cost you ~$170, that's the only reason why i mentioned a current-gen graphics card.

anyways, if you can pull it off, aim for a ps3 and convince your dad that it's basically a HD player (blu-ray) for the entire family to watch movies in high definition :)

V

:wallbash: that's a gud idea. Btw hw much ps3 costs in US?

M8,

I just checked the prices of PS3 in US. They are as follows:

40GB PS3 (w/d backward compatibility) = US$ 399 + Taxes (US$ 428) approx. INR. 17500

80GB PS3 (with 80-85% backward compatibility) = US$ 499 + Taxes approx. INR. 22500.

I would suggest that if you are considering buyin a PS3 and like stiking to the PS2 games go for 60 GB PS3 from pallika. It should not cost you more than INR.21000 and has the maximum backward compatibility plus many other features.

^^^ thanks for the help v and Maverick but actually my brother is already in US and he won't let my dad buy a PS3 because he knows that i'll use it for only gaming... no the trick of luring them into high definition movie won't work here :cry5: i ve given a choice of laptop or psp to dad. let's c what he brings....

Guys, i need some help.

I have a PAL ps3 and bought a psp slim a few weeks back. I haven't connected it through USB yet for the initial steps.

The buttons on psp are reversed, meaning O is for "enter" and X is for "back" so i'm guessing it's a jap psp.

So i was wondering whether it's compatible with my pal ps3?

thanks.

PicoozIR v2: Control Infrared Chopper Using A PSP

French homebrew developer pacopad has just devised a program that allows users to control the micro infrared helicopter Picoo Z using the PlayStation Portable. We know you are familiar with the toy, it was also released in the West under the name Air Hogs Havoc Heli.

The name of the application is PicoozIR and is currently in version 2. Here's the translated version of the changelog for this release:

* Added 2 modes of driving.

* Transition Command Mode 1 in analog.

* Search for MP3 improved (deeper in the tree).

* The program leaves cleanly (not crash over the PSP).

* Before using 2 new modes, the author strongly recommends that the test without the helicopters, just to observe the behavior of gauze and management.

* To begin with the flight mode 3, you have to set the background to stick to the bottom so that the indication "NoGo" a pass "Go". For any cut, press the down arrow and then returns indicated a "NoGo" Version 2 was completed, tested and approved.

* Version 2 was completed, tested and approved.

* Pacopad already working on version 3, which will incorporate other models picooz.
