I think there couldn't be any poll at all about this. Stealth = Thief. (Although deadly shadows let me down a little bit)..

Plus it has a great story line, unlike the other popular but boring ones like MGS or Splinter cell.

havent played any splinter cell or Thief (I know.. shame on me.)

So out of snake and 47, I wud go for the former. Hitman is good, very, very good but snake just trumps him.

that being said, stelth is sadly a dying genre though. What with all these testrostrone filled FPs's around, u dont see a quality stelth title. I wish we see a thief on ps3.. been hearing quite a lot about it.

MGS was the first game i have played that had the stealth elements and now the series has evolved to such a gr8 one. it's my favorite stealth series of course. i didnt like Splinter Cell that much and i ve played only one game in that series: Splinter Cell: Double Agent on PS2.

whoa Tenchu was a wonderful game too.. but i guess i played it after MGS :P. Tenchu 2 was even better. sneaking past those gunmen was fun cos if u get spotted u r dead.. gr8 game.. then there was a mission where u had to kidnap villagers by knocking them out. awesome. Tenchu was the game where we see the true work of a ninja. btw, a question.. do u have any idea which year was Tenchu 2 set in? i guess it was late 17th or early 18th century, right?

I seriously recommend trying out the first three games... especially Chaos Theory. Also, from what I've heard the PS2 version of Double Agent was a very different game compared to the other versions.
