Thief 1, 2 and 3 were BRILLIANT and also they are the best stealth games ever. Try the level called Shalebridge cradle in Thief3.. it's an awesome experience. I searched and Splinter Cell: Double Agent was the only other game at ps3 (unfortunately i sold my ps2 and my pc is not gaming ready).. Is it too late to get double agent ?? How was it ? Bulovski Posted June 25, 2009 Report Share Posted June 25, 2009 tell those thief guys to make it on a console first they did - for the old xbox - deadly shadows. separate thing that they screwed up because the hardware was just not ready for the dynamic lighting in the game. but Thief remains a better stealth game - there's no option but to play stealthy. going in any other way is a world of hurt since all the enemies are pretty stronger than garrett. It was a fantastic game with RPG elements that let you play the game how you wanted. Loved the story and wish a remake came out. It all went downhill once the sequels got released though Dunno, I can't stand the amount of patience required to get through a stealth game. But Deus Ex is not meant to be a stealth game..It is meant to be played as a mixed genre. If you play it as a complete stealth based one, I'm sure one can do it but I don't think there would be any fun in it. A stealth game is not where you just crawl in shadows, wait for the guards/security forces to pass, then quickly move to another shadow, rinse repeat and a stealth game is not about whether you can pass it without killing...A stealth game is much more. You linger in the corners, not just hiding from what you see but also from what you cannot see, you listen to people, gather clues, you kill someone without even letting the winds know, you kill someone so swiftly that you are long gone before the dead one's soul realizes it has left the body and all this mixed with an eerily dark and silent background with a gripping storyline and voila.. (And then people call MGS as a stealth game ) If I had to chose one single game that should be crowned as the epitome of stealth games so far, it would be thief (especially Thief 2: The metal age). Thief 3 Deadly shadows is the best stealth game till now for me , now there is also a high-resolution graphics pack which changes the complete graphics of the game as well , making it even better.
