ram87
Hi guys, I assembled a system with the 4850 a cpl of weeks back. I have noticed a strange problem. For most part the screen is ok. But while gaming(Especially GeOW) i see waves on the screen. The waves start from the bottom of the screen and resonate upwards. This happens frequently. I have tried other games like POP 2008. Still the waves appear. I have tried rolling back to older driver versions and also updating to the latest ones, but to no avail. I dont have a DVI cable with me, so i am using a DVI-VGA converter. What could be the problem. Could it be by gfx card or my Monitor?. Pls help me guys. I am goin nuts...... Sriram

I dont think its overheating. The card idles at 45 and goes to 52 under load. That is pretty normal i guess.
