I have been using UPS of powersafe for my office.. it handles around 3 machines (2 TFT 17" and one 17" CRT) for approximately 4 hours of time..

comes with 2 batteries..

I paid around 40K for the same... but I am not sure whether it will work for the TV or not..

You will have to know how much wattage ur TV + XBOX are using ... then buy a ups .

U will atleast need a double battery UPS ...

For me its a cheap 800 VA Microtek UPS ( Rs 2200 ) ... gives around 500 Watts ... runs XBOX + Sharp HDTV + other stuff like tata sky etc ... just fine.

To all those who think it's not required... I wasn't using one earlier. A few months back there was a power fluctuation resulting in red lights on my console. I went out and bought an APC 500W UPS the same day. So now at least I don't have to worry about power cuts/surges while playing.

one Q for the guys already using UPS' - your X360's power cord has a 15-amp or 5-amp plug? my power cord (that attaches the power supply to the wall socket) has a 15-amp plug and i havent found an affordable UPS in the market that provides 15-amp socket(s).

*OR* are you guys using a 15<->5amp converter plug?

Converter... no problems since Feb '07.

i use converter on direct plug point so 15 amp plug running on 5 amp point .... when electricity goes - all red light flash - switch off the XBOX360 and switch it back ON - no problem .... but I do have voltage stabilizer for the power ..... but now thinking of getting a UPS too

October is here and it brings along extreme heat and its much hated sidekick - power fluctuations. cant use my 360 as it's overly sensitive to any voltage anomalies (saw some nice red lights last night), so am finally getting myself a UPS. called up APC bombay (rolex logistics) and ironically their head office is out of service owing to a short circuit ;)

any recommendations for other brands that you guys trust?
