I suppose they should have got around to understanding the architecture much better by now. According to the info we have, they made it quite clear that they were actively working to understand it much better as they went along developing the game on both the platforms.

bah, mirrors edge has been in active development when battlefield bad company was only half done....but that aside, if you're a next gen video game dev, either learn how to make a game on the PS3 or dont release the game on it....dont make a lousy port and start making excuses for it even before the game is released

Exactly ! Seems to be a disconnect of opinions between the marketing and the development functions at DICE.

Seems like the control issues are still there in the demo. It's nothing compared to COD4. I kept spraying bullets here and there in SP. It got even more difficult in MP. Couldn't manage to kill anyone by bullets. Only the tank shells could get me the kills.

 

Screen tearing is still there, though very minor. You have to really look hard to see it. Destruction is awesome. No floaty walls till now though some crates seem to be oddly invincible even with a tank running over them. Trees collapse when the tank runs through them but it takes a moment to register before the tree comes crashing down.

 

Destruction in SP and MP is mind blowing. With mortar fire raining down combined with hail of missiles from helicopters and tank shells zooming by, its absolute chaos. In SP, almost everything is breakable. I have been hardly able to hide behind something in Easy and not see it blown up moments later, forcing me to run for cover...again.

 

Roads in SP seem to be straight out of Germany's Autobhan! Wonder how they have managed to survive with all the destruction going around them. I half expected to see tank tracks on them.

There seems to be the most weird kind of lag. While your movement across the battle field is smooth as butter, your opponents move in a stranger jerky manner, not the usual kind normally associated with lag. It's weird and disconcerting. The moment I got into a vehicle driven by a team-mate, I experienced the same kind of jerky movement. The moment I was out, it was smooth as usual.
