kunallkw
You have nothing to loose , worst case scenario = you'd buy a new controller . but if the repair works out then , sasti gaming resumes

Zeusss
dude you can repair it (i did it) This is common problem with an easy soln.(You need to open d controller ) This problem is basically due to broken spring of your L2 button. anyways. if you open up the controller 1) unscrew all 5 screws 2) then pull it open from the top of the control(not the bottom where the handles)are, because there is a clip that opens that way. I saw the one spring had snapped. they are quite pathetic springs and break quite easily apparently. They have the exact same type of springs used in floppy disks. so find an old floppy disk and compare it to the other spring. you might have to cut the ends of a bit, or undo just 1 of the spirals. I then slipped everything back into place, and now i have a perfectly good working ps3 controller. PS: before you start clipping all the buttons back into place make sure that the L1/R1 are touching their pads, as well as the L2/R2, its very easy to miss this because the whole setup of the controller there is quite loose. Take out the shutter spring
