Once in hostel two friends of mine were playing over LAN, one scored a goal and then went and celebrated in front of other, he in turn grabbed his collar and said I will kill you if you do it again. We were about 15-20 close friend who used to play fifa and UT:GOTY all the time. I still miss those days. ALso my ISP sucks at this moment, let me switch to new one next month, then we will play. killroy Posted September 23, 2009 Report Share Posted September 23, 2009 No I am not anti-FIFA...I happen to be finalist and winner of WCG FIFA tourneys on many occasions and happen to own every single FIFA ever made since 1998 RTWC...so I do like FIFA...hell I love it...but I do understand its shortcomings... FIFA looked good and played good way back in the day but PES came along and took away its stride...I stopped playing FIFa after FIFA 05(WCG 2005) because PEs was a much better game... got back to FIFA in 09 because that was a better game...until then it was PES 5...because all PES's after that were the same game and lets not even talk about the disastrous nex-gen PES games... the current FIFA game is nothing but a rehash...with slight gameplay changes...and the same restricted attack patterns...ball feels free but is actually not... This year...PES is the better game...this is my opinion...and im defending it... I thought this was a forum..and that too the PEs forum of all things...so if you have a problem with my opinion i'm totally open to debate...isnt why we all are here? Also...if 10 people like FIFA...they can express their love and make out in the FIFA thread...you dont see me tell that PRo evo is a better game in the FIFA thread do you? I do post there about the good things about that game... And 10 people liking it doesn't automatically mean its a better game...so yeah ill stick with what i said...Pro Evo is the better game BY FAR this year... And after all, it's being done in the PES thread, so why should it hurt the sentiments of a FIFA fan? Every PES fan was once a FIFA fan, but moved over because EA messed it up. Some FIFA fans are unwilling to accept the possibility of a better football game. They never entertained that possibility in the PS2 days, so why would they now. Every PES fan will admit when a good FIFA game comes around, but the opposite never happens, and that's ok. But if you don't like to read about people saying PES is better, leave the thread. That simple. And on the topic of offline vs online - its not even a contest. Offline all the way. How many great all-nighters were spent playing nothing but PES 3, 4 and 5. Its Winning Eleven 2010 (same as PES 2010 but for Japanese audience.) Now the big news here is that unlike the old PES demo which was released a week or two back this one is a more polished version. More Responsive and a newer build... I will be downloading it soon and giving you all my impressions about it... Brazil Vs Italy 0-0 My impressions: * Ball control is definitely better than the PES 2010 demo. * Players reach top speed really fast and the Gameplay is faster * Looks much better than the PES 2010 demo. * Defending by my players was much better. In PES 2010 demo i just couldnt head away the crosses from AI players. * Goalkeeping by the AI is fantastic. Sometimes super human. Buffon In that one match no mistakes were made by the AI player and no spills by Buffon. * Fewer sidefooted shots. In PES 2010 most of my shots on goal in one on one situations were sidefooted shots. Here its a bit more varied. Will play some more matches and let you guys know. BTW, the additions/changes compared to PES 2010 demo are. * Inclusion of the Saitama Stadium, Japan. * Only 4 teams now: Liverpool, Barca, Brazil and Italy. People if you are a true PES fan i request you'll to download this WE 2010 demo and see the changes first hand. Its really good. Gives me immense hope for the PES 2010 this year.
