Sa1nT_SoLd1eR
Okay I believe what everyone here is trying to say is that science being specific in nature, is not specific in it's development phase, In simple terms, Newton did not go and sit under the tree to find gravity, the gravity dropped on his head ( or rather dawned on his head ), and hence in order to excel in the field of science one needs to keep experimenting and maybe one day an apple ( Idea ) will drop on some person's head too and then we will have answer to one of the many questions that are there still unanswered. Summarized only to keep the thread on it's course, and since all this drifting was started by me in a sense, i believe it is upon me to make an effort to get it back on track. godspeed4476
How does that stop rape?It will bring down the 'technical' rape cases, there are cases where the girl opts for consensual sex with a guy, but even if the girl is 16 or 17, the girls parent can report it as rape, I know of such few incidences personally. And there was also a new some months back about 2 16 year olds having sex and the boy was put in trial for rape.It won't bring down any actual rape cases, but I feel that the move was long due. Sa1nT_SoLd1eR
Staring a girl has been made a non-bailable offence Passing lewd comments, stalking made non-bailable is very much understandable, but staring is so vague a term, it can't even be legally defined in words, and to make it non-bailable is like adding salt to injury for anyone who gets screwed under this offence !!! I am going to keep my eyes stuck to the ground from now on !!!

Ne0
^^ I think he's trolling .... the new law talks about voyeurism (more associated with peeping tom cases).... not staring down on anybody !
Sa1nT_SoLd1eR
Hmmm. I don't know a lot of the english news channels were also using the word 'staring', will only be confirmed once the draft becomes public, was just quoting from what I have heard on the news and read over the net about the new draft, details haven't been made public yet, so it is still specualtive !!! The Wolfy among us
Italy dares India to go to international court of justice. Italy has warned India to go to court in the case. Italy has insisted it is on solid legal ground in seeking international arbitration in the case. Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi told reporters in Israel, "We have juridically solid reasons to proceed in the direction of international arbitration The Indian government is amply apprised of all it needs to know about our reasons, as do many of our partners." Once the case comes into hearing, I am sure Italy will state that the condition of the prisons, and the treatment of the prisoners was so harsh that they had to keep them from going back. Spacescreamer
^^ Wont Italy be jeopardising its own reputation by refusing those murderers to be returned to India ? Tired of the soft approach by the gfn politicians. Even BD snubbed Mr Puny-da.
Aftrunner
I dont get why those two Italians are such a big deal. We have (literally) thousands of murderers, rapists and criminals walking around freely. Some of them are in politics. And thousands of more who are accused will spend decades at a trial that will never really provide any justice or closure to the families of the victims. If these two were Indians that had killed the other guys for some property dispute would anyone even give half a f**k if they ran away to Italy? Dont get me wrong, I am not saying those two dont deserve to stand in court. But a large part of this is simply "National pride" posturing by politicians trying to score some points. Nemo
conditions and treatment were harsh ? bitch please.. look at them, this photo is from dec last year. look at those handsome bastards. can pass off for runaway milan models. Italy be smoking some fine weed if they think their argument will hold. It was a massive screw up by our authorities. Indian law doesn't allow prisoners to cast vote, we should not have allowed marios here to do so as they were in indian prison, more over italy has a method for its citizens who are in foreign places during elections to vote via interwebz. it all looks either very stupid or fishy. Child abuse is even other home and we dismiss it as a prerogative of parents but an indian couple tried in court in netherlands for the same and suddenly its a national shame
Sa1nT_SoLd1eR
^ Could not have said it better, the hypocricy just boggles my mind !!! Anyway about the Italians issue, there is a lot that doesn't meet the eye, and i feel a big political move, since the issue of Italian sailors was a big one in the recently concluded Italian elections, and Indian government has probably struck a deal of Italy scratching it's back while it scratches theirs, the VVIP deal making news and subsequent moves by government make it more suspicious. I believe Italian ambassdor will be sent back in the coming days, and CBI report indicting BJP leaders like Jaswant SIngh etc. is on the cards, Jaswant Singh's defence against defaming SP Tyagi by media, is also an indication of his involvement & maybe more names will also roll out, BJP has probably got a whiff of this plot & are posturing to involve SC in the whole thing as a diversionary tactic. They pulled an 'Anna Hazaare' on them, & congress is hell bent on returning the favour. Anyways, it will all be clear in the coming days & months !! I dont know about politicians but it hurts me as a Indian to see that these people are getting away so easily and it is a matter of national pride because forget what happens inside our country even outsiders can take us for a ride so easily. Just answer this...do you think Italians would have pulled anything like this with other countries...China,USA,Russia,England,Israel.....we are being looked as a big power in coming years...among the P5...and this is how dumbfounded we want to look at international level. conditions and treatment were harsh ? bitch please.. look at them, this photo is from dec last year. look at those handsome bastards. can pass off for runaway milan models.
