Sa1nT_SoLd1eR
Law looses it's meaning when preferential treatments are metted out in serious cases that involve charges like murder !!! Mumbai police helped him with the cover up & even after he was picked up his medical exam was delayed so that blood alcohol content does not figure in the chargesheet !!! 10 years and still the case is pending in the lower court, it's appalling to say the least !!! Even if he gets convicted, the maximum punishment in case of hit & run is very less than a homicide !!! He will probably never get jailed throughout his life. Even Late Mr. pataudi was found with a killed black buck in the Dickie of his car alongwith the rifle that was used to kill & still he never got convicted. All this does is, it makes people loose faith in law !!!

playstation
Bollywood on Sanjay Dutt's sentence, says he doesn't deserve it Director Kunal Kohli too batted for Sanjay Dutt, saying, "The '93 blast case should not be made about Sanjay Dutt. The Real planners are sitting safely in Pakistan like Osama Bin Laden was." Music director Vishal Dadlani said, "I am not contesting/denying the law, but it breaks my heart that Sanjay Dutt has to face this. He has done so much, so selflessly for so many!." "Sad to know the verdict on Sanjay Dutt, my heart goes out to him and his family... he was a fighter, is one and will always be one," said Aftab Shivdasani. "Sending out a big big hug to Sanju. The most forgiving man I know. Sad he could not be forgiven himself," director Anubhav Sinha said. "I will be very sad to see Sanjay Dutt go back to jail... where I used to meet him years ago. A second term will destroy the man," tweeted Pritish Nandy. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/bollywood-on-sanjay-dutts-sentence-says-he-doesnt-deserve-it/1091364/2 Did not deserve it!...guy had ak47..grenades ...had full knowledge of Mumbai Blast ...could have saved hundreds of life had he informed the authority ....More than him posing arms ...his knowledge of Mumbai blast before the blasts ...really makes me hate him to the core. Nemo
ofcourse it is an accident but it was drunk and driving case ...he is totally to be blamed for that accident. yes but punishment for an accidental DUI resultant death is way different and less than intentional killing. Sa1nT_SoLd1eR
^ Yup most of the times in hit & run cases a compromise is reached between parties at the behest of the court, compensation is ordered with a short jail term ranging from 6 months to 3 years !! I was under impression that he just had an AK47, didn't know about the grenade stuff as well. BAlso, can any 1 shed the light on the day counting system in jails now, afaik a single day used to be counted as 2 (day and night) before, it has changed now hasn't it ? . A full day is counted as 1 day?

ALPHA17
Can someone also say what Sanjay Dutt's defense was when asked about the AK 47? Self defence it seems. The cache he had at his house seemed completely otherwise, more cartridges and grenades than standard military issue (in hot areas).

Spacescreamer
This movie fraternity is really a self feeding industry. Anything negative happens to them, they come out in full force with bayaanbaazi to condemn the events. Anything good happens inside they come out with high fives, and otherwise too they never let go of any opportunity to remain in the news with their tweets to praise cricketers/social cause promotion but do nothing substantial. And Anything bad happens, they keep it within the industry (which i actually respect as that is a trait of a family, but they make this dirty industry appear as holier than thou) These actors keep appearing in movies which is lapped up by audiences, and ultimately the msg goes through that Law got no bearing at all. Keep flouting them and u ll be free person and acting all macho on a 70mm. Are the other movie industries in India this corrupt as well? Dont get to hear too much of the news from that side. The Hindi Film Industry is like a family business only....Son,Brother,Sister,Daughter,Father,Mother...half of the industry is filled with actors/actress and their whole family only...Beside the reason why they support each other so much is all because of business ...all of them have at sometime or somehwere worked with each other and why spoil it by going against them. I was a kid when sanjay was arrested(infact use to feel bad at that time) but i remember few scenes from those days of huge protest over Sanjay's arrest not only in Mumbai in other parts of India too...today when i remember that i wonder how and why is normal public interfering in this...Indian public is too attached to its bollywood star...We already give them enough love and wealth ..but it should not be at the cost of betraying our country or doing such unlawful acts. If he and Salman had been involved in something similar or done such crimes in USA na....gand ke neeche hawa nikal deta FBI and waha ke Judiciary .... Bloody politicians, actors and cricketers have spoiled the whole country on diff levels. He Should have served his time earlier when he wasnt doing anything good. Lost all respect for dutt jr when he gave speeches which basically played the religion card to grab sympathy, and even now his statements are trying to invoke and evoke the support against the sentencing. Crass people gen get exposed during testing times. Dutt Jr is nothing when compared with his Father. The Sr dutt was classy and an honest person.. but his time was different. Now we have druggies ruling the movie/tv fraternity and nothing really substantial to watch from their stable usually.

Just curious. o_O I tried to search for something on this and ended up finding this http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2002-09-27/news-interviews/27299504_1_atul-agnihotri-salman-khan-aishwarya-rai The actress says Salman hounds her and causes physical injuries to himself when she refuses to take his calls. "There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And I would go to work as if nothing had happened." Salman kept calling, but Ash refused to say where she was. But he overheard people near her mentioning the name of the place. Witnesses say that an inebriated Salman reached there and insisted that Ash go with him. Though she refused first, she relented after he hit himself. What is wrong with this guy.
