El Tigre Chino
Preferential treatment given to actors, politicians and all these guys with money and power has made a mockery of the law and legal system in India. At the moment the whole system is a joke. An extremely infuriating joke. I don't think I'm too far off or cynical to believe that people have zero percent faith that anyone with a load of cash in their pockets or a netas hand over their head will be punished or let out with a slap on the wrist. Every time I see a scam being exposed on tv or in the papers it doesn't feel like a sense of justice, just that this is going to be in the news for a week or two and after that its going to be forgotten. The case will be dragged for over a decade, while the person behind it enjoys his loot and dies of old age in their golden grave. Treat everyone as common folk, give them a fair trial without any outside influence and make them serve their sentence. Prosecute the guilty and give justice to the victims and their families. Don't let an Ambani, Sonia Gandhi, Modi or even a hundred thousand fans banging on the door of the court room affect the decision taken inside. People have to realize that breaking the law actually has serious consequences to put an end to these multi billion dollar scams, rapes and general lawlessness. playstation
The 1993 blasts case should not be made about Sanjay Dutt. playstation
The timing of the raid is most unfortunate, says Manmohan Even as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, his Cabinet colleagues and the Opposition on Thursday slammed the Central Bureau of Investigation for conducting searches at DMK leader M.K. Stalin’s residence in Chennai, the investigating agency defended the move by stating that the operation was as per procedures and not targeted against any individual. The CBI also ordered an enquiry to look into any procedural lapses in carrying out the searches. http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/tamil-nadu/the-timing-of-the-raid-is-most-unfortunate-says-manmohan/article4532822.ece on other news What kind of Prime Minister interfers in CBI's work ...just speaking his parties word now...Mon Mon Singh...jaha bolna chahiya waha toh sir aap chup rahte hai...abhi CBI ke timing ko leke hala macha rahe hai sir ... Nemo
Jokes apart, i think a deal has been struck. We return the marines, you ensure no death penalty + quick release and subsequent return for our men. You save face, we get off with murder. Unless you have a fly on the wall view from inside of south block then this statement is as clueless as a blind lesbian in a fish market. Please keep your insights in global politics to a weird doomsday conspiracy blog only. thank you. Just out of curiosity , is TADA still prevalent or it has been scrapped ? If it is, can a person be punished according to a law which got scrapped altogether ? I'm not that good with legal affairs .... pardon my ignorance both TADA and POTA have been scrapped, it has been a few years since government took them off. But as they are criminal laws, they don't have retrospective effects, i.e. one can not be tried under a new criminal law if the crime he committed (and his subsequent charge in court) was before the official introduction of the law (even if it is clear that he/she is cent percent guilty under the new law's directives), similarly on the flip side, if a person had been charged under a certain (criminal) law while it was in function and over time it was scrapped but the court has not yet passed a judgement, he/she will still be tried and punished under the law under he/she was booked if found guilty. thus, this is why even though we don't have TADA anymore, munnabhai has been found guilty under it. It simply is based on the time line, when the crime has been committed and the person has been charged. Not sure about other countries but in india we don't have Criminal laws with retrospective effects, Civil laws however can have them. The proposed introduction of GAAR has retrospective effects and that is one of the reasons why vodafone is sh*ting its pants as it can be tried for financial swindling it did in 2008. playstation
I feel there is some sort of conspiracy here..It seems to me that the Congress party may after much tough decisions aginst Italy may be able to bring Italian marines here to give a picture of Sonia Gandhi being a very patriotic Indian. Spacescreamer
Unless .. ... thank you. You have an opinion and others have their own. You are most welcome to skip the post if your itch is uncontrollable to put a ctrl c + ctrl v job on anything you find inapt. Sources said the Special Cell raided a guest house in the Jama Masjid area last night and nabbed two suspected terrorists, who are believed to be Kashmiris. After the batla house stakeout, such things really have bit of a question mark on them. Secondly, with the simmering tension in JnK and nearly every person from the state who rises to prominent position is held and questioned like a potential terrorist, there seems to be no concern to put a brake on the events leading to alienation of kashmiris. Pervez Rasool being the latest case. Govt should atleast try to keep speculation of being a kashmiri under wraps unless confirmed for the greater good of the country.
