Despite me clarifying that particular point multiple times during that conversation, you still keep on twisting my viewpoint.. Maybe because w/o twisting you won't be able to use it to mock the argument..

And what you said re killing Nehru/Gandhi is something which RSS said quite recently itself.. Hence the comparison.. Most hardline RSS supporters agree to that view.. Whether you are one of them or not but atleast your views match their's perfectly on this topic..

Btw a terrorist by definition is someone who is willing to murder non-combatants for a difference in ideology.. Something which fits perfectly with your statement.. So maybe you should start introspecting your worldview a bit more deeply..

I Don't think i have ever mentioned RSS in my post here ever . It is you who is in hurry to point me out as Hardline supporter of RSS just because this once we had similar thoughts.

Proud to have India as a partner in Fiji's future', says Fijian PM Josiah Bainimarama

Expressing his delight at the signing of three agreements between New Delhi and Suva, Fijian Prime Minister Josiah Bainimarama on Wednesday said that he is proud to have India as a partner in his country's future.

"This is only the beginning. We have some 15 more agreements in the works and we expect to sign them soon," said Bainimarama after the signing of agreements between both sides.

"We are pleased that our relationship with India is growing and we are proud to have India as a partner in Fiji's future," he added.

Bainimarama said that he had a very cordial and productive discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"And I must say I was not surprised that we found much common ground. I believe we have laid the groundwork for a very productive relationship in the future," he added.

The Fijian Prime Minister said India is a growing power with a very talented people.

"It is making impressive advances in technology, in creating opportunities and economic growth all while tackling long-standing problems of poverty, underdevelopment and marginalisation," he added.

Bainimarama further said the two sides have much to learn from each other.

"And so we believe, we need to stimulate exchanges as much as possible. Our people have a great deal of wisdom and experience and we need to put them together to share that," said Bainimarama.

"Fiji also needs assistance and I am pleased that we have been able to discuss India's assistance to Fiji which is both generous and respectful of our needs," he added.

India today announced a 75 million USD line of credit for Fiji for a co-generation power plant and upgrading the sugar industry and also a five million USD fund to develop its villages, besides agreeing to expand bilateral defence and security cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Modi, who made these announcements after talks with his Fijian counterpart, also announced a visa on arrival for Fijians and assistance projects that included a parliament library and doubling the scholarships and training slots in India for people from this country.

yaar I think India's Foreign relations have much improved with consistent effort by Modi to woo all small and big countries . Has made ties much stronger in last 5 months with several countries.

Just that he has been announcing Visa On Arrival for these countries...arey Why should we give Visa on arrival if they are not reciprocating .

okay my bad just checked Fiji already gives VoA to Indians...nice.

Under Modi, Israel and India forge deeper business ties

TEL AVIV (Reuters) - At the U.N. General Assembly in New York last September, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set aside time for a critical meeting. But it wasn't President Barack Obama he was keen to see. It was Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Since Modi came to power in May, ties between Israel and India have been in overdrive, with the two signing a series of defence and technology deals that have underscored their burgeoning commercial and political relationship.

The same month as the UN meeting, Modi's cabinet cleared a long-delayed purchase of Israeli missiles for its navy. In October, India closed a $520 million deal to buy Israeli anti-tank missiles. And last week, a jointly developed aerial defence system passed a major trial, which India called a "milestone".

"There is great momentum in cooperation, on both the defence and economic sides," Naftali Bennett, Israel's economy minister and a member of Netanyahu's inner cabinet, told Reuters.

India is now the largest buyer of Israeli military equipment, while Israel is India's largest customer after Russia. In the first nine months of 2014, bilateral trade reached $3.4 billion, on target for a record this year.

While that may not be vast in global terms, it has helped push Asia to the brink of overtaking the United States as Israel's largest export market after the European Union.

India is steadily catching up with China as it buys more Israeli defence and cyber-security technology, an area where China is limited since the United States frowns on Israel dealing too freely with Beijing in defence matters.

The roots of the Israel relationship go back to 2006, when Modi was chief minister of Gujarat and visited the region to explore new ideas in irrigation, an area of Israeli expertise.

As a result, India started buying drip-feed technology, said Amnon Ofer, a friend of Modi's and chairman of NaanDanJain Irrigation, formed after India's Jain Irrigation acquired a firm created by two Israeli collective farms.

Under Modi's predecessor, Manmohan Singh, India kept its relationship with Israel under wraps, in part so as not to upset its Muslim minority, said C. Raja Mohan, head of strategic studies at the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi.

"Cynics in Israel would point out that Delhi was treating Tel Aviv like a mistress - engage in private but refuse to be seen with in public," said Mohan. "The Modi government is having none of that."

The question is where the relationship goes from here. Strategically, Israel is glad to have a rising Asian power as an ally. But for both the focus is really on business.

Israel Ports Co. is partnering India's Cargo Motors to build a deepwater port in Gujarat, and Israel's TowerJazz is teaming up with India's Jaiprakash Associates and IBM with plans to build a $5.6 billion chip plant near Delhi.

At a security conference in Tel Aviv last week, executives from top Indian firms were shopping for systems to secure their pipelines, refineries and other infrastructure.

All the activity has lead to expectations that Israel and India will finalise a free trade agreement in the next year.

"That means trade will double or triple," said Anat Bernstein-Reich, who chairs the Israel-India Chamber of Commerce, an office hoping and preparing for a boom.

What a bunch of asshats. It's still part of this country's history. Sometimes we need reminders to show us what we have achieved and from where we have come.
