Hi guys,

Am getting an Arcade in the coming 7 to 10 days  and would like you guys to suggest me some BEST offline mulitplayer (splitscreen?) games for the 360. I don't have a decent internet at my place that I can connect to the 360 for live, but me and my cousins and friends are too excited about offline multiplayer on the 360....so guys please recommend me all that you can :D

Looking forward to some awesome multiplayer fun :D

Edit: Got really pissed to know Burnout Paradise does not have splitscreen multiplayer (even the Ultimate Box Edition). All of us here went WTF!!! :furious:

Edit II: Oh and I won the 20 GB HDD here at the GI Xbox 360 Arcade Contest :happydance: so HDD is not gonna be a problem (if required that is) :)

Thanx a lot in advance :)

Gears Of War

Gears Of War 2

Halo 3

Army Of Two (not sure if the MP modes work in offline splitscreen mode but it's one hell of a co-op game)

Left 4 Dead

Resident Evil 5

Burnout Revenge

Forza Motorsport 2

Sadly none of the COD games have splitscreen play

Cod WAW does have offline coop. Atleast on the PS3 it does have splitscreen play.

Wasn't aware of that...

Also, if you like superhero stuff, Marvel Ultimate Alliance has sweet 4-player co-op.

Thanx a lot for all the replies guys. I'll check out some reviews and get the ones that I really like

PS: I was a little curious as to why everyone was recommending Revenge and not Dominator, and checked on the internet that there was no Dominator for the 360 :furious: Anyways, I always liked Revenge better than Dominator, I don't really know why :)

Edit:

Hmm....I'll check it out now that am getting a 360 :happydance: but I remember it looked horrible on the PS2 or at least the same as X-men Legends :)

You can always play Streetfighter 4 online with us. A lot of us play it on xbox live... It works fine even with a 256 kbps connection when playing with Indians.

(unless of course you still use dial-up....)

I would so love to do that trust me, but I have a stupid wireless BSNL EVDO internet with a USB dongle/modem. Don't think I can connect it to 360 :P

Anyways, I have applied for BSNL Broadband but the waiting list is like 8 months :O

I would so love to kick someone's a*s in Street Fighter. I have yet to find a street fighter of my caliber :D

Edit: Don't know how good the 360 controller is gonna be when playing SF. I've always played SF using the PS2's dualshock controller. Am freaking unbeatable with that

While the game is mediocre overall, ARMY of TWO has a surprisingly efficient and very fun splitscreen co-op campaign. I first played the campaign alone, but when I ran through it with my brother, the enjoyment factor multiplied several-fold. =The in-game characters are surprisingly expressive, and its always fun to smack your brother upside the head in real life, when he has screwed up the mission in the game. I would personally recommend this game quite highly for two player, splitscreen co-op.
