aquaria easily has more voice work than zeno clash :wOOtjumpy:

don't judge by the medium (or in the case, the perspective) in which the game is presented. both 2D and 3D have their own specific challenges. for example, while the artwork for zeno clash is great, the entire game world of aquaria is handpainted as well. and aquaria is a game that lasts for well over 20 hours. without any pre-existing sdk no less. that's no small feat. in terms of pure money, i believe it is mentioned that jonathan blow spent 180,000$ of his own money in the development of braid. most of that went to a professional artist and licensing music i think. another 2d game. so my point is, while the challenges faced in making a 3d first person game and a 2d sidescroller are different, it's not necessary that one is 'harder' or requires less resources/time/investment than the other.

Coming to XBLA, courtesy of indie gods ATLUS

Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today revealed that Zeno Clash™, the critically-acclaimed first-person melee action adventure game honored for its unique visual style (among five finalists for Independent Game Festival’s "Excellence in Visual Art" award), is headed to Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in the vastly enhanced Zeno Clash™: Ultimate Edition. New modes—including all-new cooperative mode for the Tower Challenges—new features, and added content combine with a series of tweaks and improvements based on fan feedback to deliver the definitive version of the critically-acclaimed game.

"Upon its initial release for PC, Zeno Clash garnered endless praise for dauntlessly challenging genre conventions and for daring to offer a wildly unique visual style," stated Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Atlus. "We are proud to work with ACE Team, the game’s developers, to take that distinct, high-quality gaming experience to the next level with the improved, enhanced, and expanded Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition for Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360."

Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition for Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 is scheduled to release in March 2010.

Started this game and by God its a f**king surreal experience. The game world, characters, story etc are all completely bonkers.

The fighting mechanics are very, very good. If you've played The Chronicles of Riddick, the FPS fighting is very similar to that, but much, much deeper with proper moves, dodging, counters and special attacks. The game can get pretty tough especially when there are three or more enemies to take on and if they have weapons, but I'm loving every moment of this game.

Thank you Steam
