Bulovski Posted April 5, 2008 Report Share Posted April 5, 2008 elite = 120gb hdd that's about the only material difference. both have hdmi. i am not sure if one of the consoles come with the hdmi cable - you can check for that. so if you think you're going to go berserk on downloading games from xbl and never delete demos / games and really need the 120 gigs buy the elite. I somewhat want 2 buy the ps3 cuz its reliable, but am inclined towards xbox 360 cuz of GOW and better graphics! Here r sum of my queries pls help me out: 1} I v heard that pal 360 consoles are more reliable n suffer less chanches of rrod. 2} is it possible to get a falcon from a retailer 3} i will buy my console in june, any price cuts expected?I went 2 planet m yesterday n their sellin a core console at 12499, they said the price had just dipped yesterday! 4} shud i buy an elite or a halo3 console cuz the hdmi motherboards are more stable. 5} if i keep the ac on while playin can i avoid an rrod! 6} Premium in d US is rs.14000, in india its 23990! GO for PS3... 1)it got Blueray..means more content...GFX will be same as X360.... 2)Ps3 is reliable... 3)Ps3 is also getting DLC..but lately...X360 will first get DLC.. @ last go for PS3..because i said so... GTA 4 is a graphics intense game !!! and if you buying a console and you want to play original games ini t make sure you buy PS3 and not xbox 360. 1) I have xbox 360 for abt 8 months. havents had Rrod till date . !! but every sec am afraid dat i might get it .!! 2) xbox 360 actually costs more den ps3 ........ you have to buy batteries for every accesory like remotes 3) then you have to pay for playing online which is free in ps3 4) makes a hell lot of noises 5) games for xbox 360 dont have a smoooth frame .!! i just got off playibng gears of war in xbox 360 ......... the cutscene are very laggy !!! if you want to take the risk and buy a modded console and play copied games which are faaaaaarrr more cheap ( 100 rs per dvd) go for xbox 360. A memory card will set you back by 2800(512 mb) or 5500 for a 20 GB HDD and a wireless controller will cost 2800 plus batteries until you buy play and charge kit which is another 1200. So add that to the cost. so that is 9500 added to the price. Plus you dont get wifi. PS3 has all out of box with a 40 GB HDD. Plus PS3 is a little better Media centre then X360 plus it operates on almost no noise level whereas X360 makes a lot of noise. And ofcourse the Blu ray. Keeping aside queries on hardware, the choice of console to play GTA IV should really come down to how much of a fan of the game you are. The X360 version will get exclusive downloadable content (probably for extra cost) which will not show up on any other platform. This is because Microsoft paid RockStar US$ 50 mn to secure this exclusivity. If you arent that much of a fan of GTA, then the choice of console depends on which current gen games appeal to you most, how much of a PS2 collection you have and whether Blu Ray matters to you. X360: + Shooters + RPGs + sports games + arcade racing games + games are less expensive than PS3 titles + very impressive exclusive game lineup (Gears of War, Halo, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Forza 2) - Hardware failure rate on old models - No Blu ray compatibility PS3: + simulation racing (Gran Turismo) + platformers + backward compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games (PS2 games compatibility not available on the 40 GB model) + Blu Ray movie playback + Killer exclusive titles to be released this year - Released exclusive game lineup is not impressive barring a handful (Uncharted, Ratchet) - Games are more expensive than X360 games As regards falcons, they are not yet available in the Indian market, and will not be here for at least 6-8 months.
