NIS America has revealed a watercolour-style PS3 RPG called Last Rebellion, which will be released over there this autumn.

The game follows "dark anti-hero" Nine and his female companion Aisha on a story of revenge. Exploration will be free-form but battles turn-based, where Nine will resort to physical attacks and Aisha to magic. But only one character can fight per turn, creating what NIS hopes to be "not another mindless battle system". Body-parts can also be targeted; legs to slow, arms to weaken, and so on.

Visually, the game looks quite like the latest Prince of Persia, only less vibrant, as our Last Rebellion gallery will illustrate. The game is single-player, too.

Didnt theses guys do Disgaea and La pucelle? They should have stuck with the isometric 2d/3d graphics cause this really looks like crap.

It might be an early build with most of the assets still under work but if thats the case then they would have been better off not releasing any screenies.

You are right on the second part, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the final version doesn't look much better than this. The Disgae titles for the PS2 were actually some of their better looking ones. Most of their games looked like crap even for the PS2 but still were great fun. Hoping this one will be good too.

Threw away all those discs. Now I am using the CD cases to keep my uber manly collection of FIFA and Medal of honour games.

Thats right. All your JRPGS are on the street. Probably some auto-rickshaw wallah has stuck them on the sides of this three wheeler to pimp out his ride.
