Has anyone opened any demonic door yet?? i tried but its too tough, im talking bout the one near bower lake which asks u to enact what it is reciting.

have opened 5-6 demon doors :bash: .............if u have not opened any demon doors then u r missing a major part of the game.......the landscape inside demon doors are literlally "out of the world" ...........the demon door at bloodstone and its the spookiest of them all........

just play lute in front of it

Can I just say I love this game. I think I am about 30% done and its fantastic. I love the dog and the breadcrumbs trail. Stroke of genius both of them.

The first glimpse of the lush fields of Oakwood was one of my favourate graphical moments of this gen, (like Fable 1) the game may not be the best looking one on the console but its the most beautifull one by far.

Just one question once I finish the main story can I keep on playing and doing some of the side missions after that or is the game truly over once the main story ends like Fable 1?

but i would suggest u finish the side quests b4 the main story coz u have to make a "final choice" in the end of main story which will greatly affect the rest of the gameplay.........1 of the choice tht i took made me so depressed tht i just sold of the game.........

Big Fable II announcement next week

A mysterious post on Lionhead's development blog suggests a Fable II announcement is due "early next week".

The post, made by community manager 'Sam', promises some "good news for all Fable II fans next week", but there are no further details. In a related post the cheeky teaser also promises, "Next week we're announcing something that will make you want to revisit Albion. That is, if you're not already there..." Which could indicate something which would provide an extension of game-time.

Microsoft's being tight-lipped about the whole affair, claiming they'd be "hung, drawn and quartered" were the cat to escape the bag, so we're assuming it's quite big potatoes. The obvious answer would be some DLC - there are a few clues kicking around in the game's interface already and items are available from the Fable II puppet show web site - but there are other options such as patches or an expansion.

Our money is on some sort of DLC-flavoured treat, however, probably in the form of an item pack, clothing or character customisation. Bertie suggested that it could be a cat, possibly to ride your dog and keep it in order with the odd supercilious paw to the nose, but we're unconvinced.

Which brings us to the issue of pricing, upon which we shall defer to our learned friends at Rumour, Speculation and Guesswork. The Pub Games were priced at 800 MS points. This price, as with all DLC, was set by Microsoft rather than Lionhead, but it's probably a fair reflection of what will be charged for content attached to such a successful title.

Are you ready to reach into your wallet again so soon after buying the game first time around? We've developed very tender fingers of late, mostly in response to endlessly typing our PIN numbers into card machines across the retail spectrum, but Fable might just demand enough loyalty to squeeze a little extra from out beleaguered accounts. This is, of course, assuming that DLC is actually the subject of the announcement at all, but for the moment that's where the smart bets probably lie.

guys, quick question..

will i get an idea of how good the game is if i play the demo? dont know if a demo can do justice to an RPG.

p.s. - though i loved Mass Effect, am not hugely into RPGs..

i suppose tht u r question is related to fable2............i would strongly reccommend to buy the game irrespective of wht type of gamer u are, coz its just a piece of master art..........in an unlikely eveny u dont like the game u will just fall in love with the dog and the surroundings

Started playing the game last night. Was planning to hold out until I finish Fallout 3 but I couldn't resist. Besides I think I'll be playing Fallout 3 for a long long time anyway. Anyway the game is just as charming as the first one. The graphics and the overall art style is brilliant. Like I said, it looks like all my childhood story books in motion. Didn't play a lot though, just played through the tutorial and wandered around a bit looking for treasure etc. I love the dog, he's so lifelike!

Thanks to Rishi I got the game today and after a four hour session the first question that popped into my mind was how in the world did this game get such good reviews? It has got to be by far the most linear and dumbed down RPG I've played.

Controls are terribly sluggish. For some reason there is no jump button and I have to keep walking alongside a cliff till the A button props up. Plus I can jump down from a ledge but I can't climb a ledge even if it's 2 feet high. Like WTF? Also the animation while you jump down from a ledge and slide towards the ground is nothing short of cringe worthy.

Why does the game not offer me a mini map I can expand to my heart's content? Why do I have to make do with a stupid tiny static map that I can only access by pausing the game?

The dog mechanic is underused as well IMO. Was expecting a lot more than a glorified treasure hunter.

I knew combat was bound to one button but this is beyond boring. X, X, X, X,X spell, X, X, X, spell, rinse repeat. Yawn!

Also when was this game developed? In 1995? Visuals are fkin terrible.

I knew I shouldn't have played this game after Fallout.
