MightySkate
hey thanks KC great find. Out of that list right now i own the blu-ray copy of Black Hawk Down. I little grainy at the beginning of the movie but then the high details start kicking in after a few mins. There are so many cool things blu-ray offers like the menu pop-up while the movie is still playing in the background. My next buy could be Apocalypto (heard the outdoor scenery is amazing) and Planet Earth
KnackChap
Planet Earth brilliant also that site is very good and has free shipping worldwide
CarbonCore
Great find. I see most of Sony Pictures and Warner Bros movies are region free. I have 300 and its region free, but T2 and Stealth are region locked.
MightySkate
@CC: was it worth getting 300 on blu-ray since the whole movie is grainy?
CarbonCore
Absolutely, the blood and gore looks amazing. And I didn't find it grainy, it was nice and clean with that beautiful light brown filter they've used, like Black Hawk Down's yellow desert filter. KnackChap
only thing stopping me from buying the bluray of 300 is that they are going to come with a new version in oct/nov i think with added content and java features anyone has more details
CarbonCore
It is unconfirmed yet I think. But I'm sure they'll add BD-Java support to later 300 disks, seeing its success in HD format. Day after Tomorrow and The Fly are confirmed to have BD-Java and PIP.
MarketTantrik
@CC:was it worth getting 300 on blu-ray since the whole movie is grainy? 300 is a must by on High Definition. But currently, the HD-DVD version is much beytter VFM cause of its extra features. Either get the HD-DVD version now, or wait for the enhanced BD discs of the movie to hit the market. karanc666
Are blu-rays available in India officially now? and for how much ? Will they work with HK ps3 ?
MightySkate
^^ Blu-rays are officially available in India but with a limited library. You're better off order them from amazon. Over here they're selling them for rs.1800. Bad news for you, since all blu-rays here are PAL. Hope that helps.
karanc666
oh ok , but its ok cuz i saw here in grey market HK blu rays( which would work with hk ps3 ) but they costed about 2200 each 2 months back
MightySkate
that's a little expensive but considering how painfully slow the official blu-ray library is updated, you're better off with the grey mkt IMO for now.
