playstation Posted January 17, 2014 Report Share Posted January 17, 2014 Monsoon is one tough SOAB. took me more than 1hr to finally defeat him. :| took me about 3-4 hrs to beat armstrong.... i was able to actually get his health down to very low level but that blad emode was not working in the resolution i was playing...i had read about it before but did not trust that just dropping the resolution would solve this issue...i was still thinking i was doing something wrong...the moment i lowered the resolution it took me just one restart to kill him ...i just could nto believe how fast the game had become after i lowered the resolution . It took some time to sink in.. Had to do the same thing in Sam DLC final boss fight...lowering the resolution helps a lot in pc version. Anyways TBH the i think Sam version of Armstrong is much more difficult than Raiden version. i can beat raiden wala like a back of my hand but sam wala is tough bastard. Man, I hated it ..I think it was terrible compared to main game..Everything is recycled bc..No new weapons, bosses or enemies ..I was hoping for atleast a new location but nothing, same old stuff :| And playing as Sam is not as fun as Raiden imo..He is quite slow compared to Raiden and he also doesn't have abilities like Ninja Run nd all... :| DLC has nothing new except 2 or 3 cutscenes and dialogues... Monsoon isn't that tough if you know how to block/parry his attacks...I was able to beat Monsoon on my first try without much problem. I found Blade wolf also difficult in sam dlc.It did not notice this till you w After you wrote this i just checked with fraps that i was actually playing at 30fps at 1080p, turned it down to 720p and getting smooth 60fps now, it feels a totally different game compared to 30fps lol. everything is soo much faster and smoother. If your monthly FUP has been consumed already, why not fire it up on PSN and have it D/L in the background whenever you're not using the internet ? Over the years tbh i dont know where mgs is going......in some mgs game we fighting people who want to start war economy and in some other mgs games we are fighting people who want to stop war economy. Big Boss Posted January 19, 2014 Report Share Posted January 19, 2014 I got beaten by Sam in my two tries last night. WTF? I beat him easily when I played on 360. Not easily really but in 2-3 tries. I couldn't even get his health down to <80% yesterday in my 2 tries. Maybe I am doing something wrong or playing with wrong weapon. Also, Raiden was always Ninja Running even without pressing RT.
