To answer your question, the previous models before sept 2008 used to be a little noisy. the newer ones have better ventilation and fans.

Fail! Come up with a better argument next time instead of being a n00b. Even if you would have said due to design, i could have accepted it.

lol..actually he was not giving an argument at all...If you see his postinghistory, he is just spamming around :panic:

1.PS3 is silent because it displaces the heat generated within the console in a better fashion than what the 360 does. So the fans naturally run at a lower RPM than the 360's. Thus quieter.

2.The stock fans in PS3 are quieter when compared to the 360's. The newer Jasper models fitted with Nidec Fans- (All back label) are way quieter than before.

3.The Blu Ray drive is not as noisy as the 360's drive. To fix this, install games on to your 360's HDD and then play

So basically if you have the latest Jasper based 360's they are quiet and i can hear a pin drop in my room :P

P.S: Sophistication of hardware has got nothing to do with noise or heat generated by the two consoles. It's just the design. In this case Sony wins Hands down :panic:

OMG: I crossed 500 posts without spamming, i wonder how that happened :nerves:
