omg the game is turning out to be all kinds of awesome :panic:

very close to the ending now, collecting pieces for the medallion thingy very very good story :good:

LOVE the voice work, specially of the book grimoire weiss. combat is pretty neat, now that i have all kinds of magic and huge arsenal of weapons. cant wait to know more about the ending.

best level so far was haunted manor.

all right finished it. Great game, loved it a lot. In a way my first rpg 19 hours and some.. lots of fetch quests left incomplete :(

Great story, been reading about it and a huge part is left, yet. I have to go through the game one more time to make a full understanding, this is certainly unique. Has the kind of ending that makes you think for a good while after you have seen that.

I will rate this game a solid 8.5/10. Apart from very average graphics and low production values the game excels in every department. Very unusual yet intriguing story, good atmosphere (mainly due to the sound track), GREAT sound track and some brilliant dialogue/characters with certain plot points touching you emotionally.

Gameplay is good, at first looks like your very regular hack and slash with simple button mash and some spells but the amount of diversification the game has is insane :panic: 2-d platforming, isometric view levels, RE style tank moving in a creepy manor and a very different text based adventure gameplay (first ever for me). Its like 4-5 different genres in one and they managed to pull it off. In the later stages once you have scaled up enemies and different spells, its not only about spamming [] anymore, you have to be on the move and bring some thinking into combining the spells and attack.

Did not like the abundant fetch/side quests.. they were good at first but towards the end became monotonous.

Its a pity not many have played it. Anyone looking for an engrossing game with good story line should definitely give it a try, graphics only dont make a game. Play it for the awesome music and Grimoire Weiss (dont you dare call him a book) alone.

Deadly Premonition is quite cheap. Around 15 pounds on UK sites. I'm assuming you have a 360?

EDIT: You do! :)

I just finished this game recently.. I thought it was a pretty good game, especially loved the music (still keeps playing in my head) and surprising variety in gameplay.

The enormous number of fetch quests was bad, I gave up on them very soon.

Just started with the game, installing the game on the PS3 hoping that it reduces load times.

Any tips, hints for a newbie to the game :fear: ?
