PSP GO confirmed

Recommended Posts

Cant think of a single title where I would use a Dpad instead of a stick. Maybe some puzzle games but thats about it.

Well, the PSP stick sucks so many genres (fighting, platformers) for which I would use a stick on controllers, I use the D-pad on the PSP

And the biggest reason for the existence of a D pad - Pro Evolution Soccer. I will stop playing this game the day they start making controllers without D pads

peace

I played TR Anniversary on the PSP with a stick and it was pretty smooth. In fact for the year or so I had the PSP I always went for the stick movement option whenever I had the choice.

While we are at it, hopefully the fact that the screen slides up means the single stick will be a bit more protruding than the current one so that its easier on the thumb. The last one (understandably) was too deep.

Afterrunner dude...you have got to be OUT OF YOUR MIND to think of a psp without a DPAD...

Ive had a lot of fun with things like Puzzle Quest...Pro Evo...even Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core for the matter...and its essential to have that dpad in there...anyone who drops a d-pad for an analog stick or nub or nipple is going to fail...

Even current gen consoles have and NEED a dpad...

As for the PSP GO design...I have no idea why people say its ugly or disappointing...its total prejudice...they dont even knowhow its going to work or what games are coming...Sony is a pretty big company...they wont release a new product without research...

Really hoping that screen is touch screen, chances are less...but it will open up a new market...

And those whining for a new analogue nub...Cmon...its not going to happen...developers are already breaking their heads over three different consoles...having 2 different PSP models will be a pain in the a*s...its ok we can get used to it...just bring on the games sony...

Looking at the pictures...i'm not sure how comfortable it would be to hold in the hand...i mean wouldn't the weight of the screen make it kinda fall forward :P

Yes, yes it would.

If your girly hands are made out of paper.

The lack of the 2nd analog stick is the only bummer, the design looks ok'ish, dunno why some of you guys are disappointed its not like this psp is a new system, its just a re-design. Also remember psp is the system which makes sony the most money(per unit sold ) so they won't add stuff in it unless its worth their time. As it is they are taking a big risk by dropping the umd and going download only.

P.s. its also the first sony console not designed by kutaragi sama(not counting slim and 3000)

:( why don't they release a completely new psp as in psp2 ? :P

PSP GO is real but that design shudn't be real.. if it were.. it will PHAIL miserably:

Cons:

Weird Design

Not looks like a real PSP

Looks more like sony mylo

not ergonomic

+1 and imo psp 3000 looks way better than this :)

they should atleast add more RAM in this so that ppl can play youtube videos on their psps :D
