TRMNTR
Was checking out the IGN Preview. If you throw two plasma grenades, one instantly after the other, the 2nd grenade gets a boost (when the 1st explodes) and flies away a la Halo 2. Whereas in Halo 3 the 2nd grenade explodes. Aftrunner
Used to be the same way in Halo 1 as well. If you tossed two plasmas at the same spot the second one would be launched high into the air. Also would like to see the chain reaction return. You know how if there were inactive grenades on the floor in the blast radius of an active grenade that was going off they would also be lit up. Might f**k up the MP where there are small rooms but it was soo much fun.
TRMNTR
I'm pretty sure it's there in some form. Bungie mentioned in the Podcast that you can shoot the grenades lying around and they'll explode. Which is so awesome BTW!

Bulovski
So wait... they made a movie to promote a beta? Surely the Halo series is not that big a deal... Halo is big, very very big. It's got a very large online population, Halo 3 still sees more online players everyday than other franchises. Every time a hyped online shooter comes it's touted to be a Halo-killer. It's supposed to be the biggest selling game of 2010, although GT5 might edge it out.
sup bro?
First time I watched ODST live action trailer, I got goosebumps. Is it just me or the kid in Reach trailer looks too malnourished to be a spartan.
jDaMn
Umm yes it is. MS wouldn't even have a share in the console space if it weren't for Halo: Combat Evolved back in the day. Besides Halo 3 still is the most played game on XBL since release.Halo was proof that shooters could work on consoles (ok, I hear Goldeneye was good too). But... the kind of marketing support the Beta is getting looks like more than what most final game releases get!
TRMNTR
Some lucky ones would get BETA access a week before!
Aftrunner
Thing is, its not just marketing for the Reach Beta. It also markets ODST. So it works in a double sort of way. Halo Reach without MC will be a tough sell, at least to get the kind of numbers Halo 3 hit. Its like trying to make a Tomb Raider game without Lara Croft. So they have to get the name out there as soon as possible and keep plugging at it so that people become aware of what it is. And to get into the Beta they have to buy ODST. Wouldnt be surprised if the sales of ODST alone pay for the marketing.
TRMNTR
The Banshee has received the most drastic change, at least in terms of usability. Instead of being able to use the Plasma Cannons and the Fuel Rod Cannon whenever you want, you now have to switch between the two using the Y button. Keyofx
Say what you want about Halo (And I will, HAH), the ads MS makes are the best in the business. First time I watched ODST live action trailer, I got goosebumps. Is it just me or the kid in Reach trailer looks too malnourished to be a spartan. Hence the augmented body suit. The future is equal opportunity
