One more point.

 

On Powerhouse the rocket launcher spawn has to be moved. It is literally impossible for the attackers to get there first and it should be an equal opportunity weapon. And its way too easy for defenders to grab the launcher, slip on the camo and either get a cheap double kill or return to flag room and camp out with the Camo. I mean its literally 10 feet from where the defenders spawn. Thats just not cool.

Finally played the Beta! :suicide:

 

It's all sorts of awesome! I'm in love with the Magnum, DMR and the Needle Rifle. And I have mostly gotten the hang of the DMR and it's really good. Rohan's still getting used to it though.

 

Anyhoo, there is lag (of course) but the Netcode is just too good. All shots register and in less time too as compared to Halo 3. The game is definitely a lot more playable in lag...for now. Lag is most noticeable in SWAT but thanks to the amazing starting combo (DMR and Pistol) everything's just fine.

 

The grenades are overpowered...yes. But it's fun when you're the one spamming them. ;) Also, the Pistol and DMR definitely need more ammo. Although if you're team-shooting, it's not a problem. But I have no idea how someone will manage FFA with such a short clip.

 

As for the gametypes, Stockpile is my new favorite! Haven't gotten a chance to play Headhunter/Oddball/King.

The Sniper Rifle feels kinda heavier this time around and a 'lil slow too (aiming-wise). Though, it's still a beast. The Focus Rifle is a sweet weapon...one of my favorites. And the Plasma Launcher just plain sucks. f**king n00bTUBE! >.<

Stockpile is awesome as long as you dont have retard teammates. I played with guys who just sit by your base and throw out the flags you bring in. Then throw them back in so that they can get the credit for the Cap. They do this all game long. So you end up losing 10-5 but they have all 5 caps. Hope its fixed fast in the retail version. It shouldnt be too hard to fix either. Just make sure that you can take flags out of your own base. Thats it.

 

And yep, pistol needs about 20-30% extra ammo. It would be almost perfect at that point.

So a very good friend of mine who shall remain nameless just told me that the Reach beta looks a 5 year old Xbox game.. :|

I disagree! I've seen couple of Reach HD videos on LIVE and can assure that the graphics are definitely waaaaayyyyy better than HALO 3! Check out ViD Doc 2 which includes lots of game play... Will confirm that same after getting hands on exp on BETA! :panic:

Another important thing to note...

 

Let's say if someone played on a sensitivity 5 in Halo 1 and 2, they had to come down to 4 in Halo 3. Halo 3 was weird in that sense. I myself had been switching a lot b/w 4 and 5. With Reach, Bungie has fixed this and people won't need to go back and forth. It feels perfect!

the way i do it is by flicking the analog stick to where the enemy is and not dragging the crossheir slowly toward his head.....mostly if you flick correctly your shot almost always connects due to the minute auto-aim in H3

Seriously. Its not common but it does seem to happen every now and then. It just f**ks you up if it happens in Swat cause you have zero chance of defending yourself if multiple people spawn right behind you.
