Umm LOL did you even watch that? Cause there are at least about 4 different events that occur. There is the first fake where he jukes the player. Then there is the movement into cover following the fake. Then the roll out of cover instead of just popping out of it. Lastly followed by a circle strafe. And all of them depend on the player position in the map and the presence and availability of cover to the enemy.

 

If you consider all of that scripted then I would love to see what you mean by dynamic.

I see you DIDN'T get what I was trying to say, the movement into the "cover" can be a co-incidence, he can simply be following a set of pre-defined reactions that triggers when a player engages & just by co-incidence the 2nd movement is into the cover. ie. as soon as you engage one the AI will jump right then jump left followed by a roll to the right. Its completely possible to do this and I've seen a lot of games have their AI do pre-defined set of animations/reactions when engaged, this gives a fine illusion of advanced AI mechanism when its not.

 

Infact Halo games have always had this, you engage an enemy & a lot of them will dive to avoid getting shot & a lot of times there will be a cover near them to give you an illusion that they are knowingly diving for cover, but when you see them do the same thing when there's no cover available near them or see them dive into the water/dive over the rooftop edge.....then you know that its a scripted event triggered by you engaging them. AI in Halo have very good path finding but that thing in the video is far too advanced to be completely unscripted.

 

You can't call me wrong here unless you yourself see it happening while playing.
