Need help routing audio from 360

Hi guys,

Well, here's my current setup.

Xbox 360

Dell 24" Monitor with HDMI

Shitty amplifier with those huge Sony Speakers that I got off my old Sony Deck.

Initially, I had routed the sound from my Dell monitor (coming from 360 via HDMI), but it has this bug wherein if there is no sound even for a second (loading screens), it will initiate "audio power saver mode" and will turn the audio off. Once it detects that the sound is back on, it takes em 5 f**king seconds to reinitiate the sound. It's a VERY COMMON bug in Dell monitors.

Now, I did some research and now am routing the sound from the Xbox 360 using the 360 composite cable (Red, White, & Yellow) that came with the Arcade directly into the amplifier. I had to remove the grey casing which was blocking the HDMI port, and now everything is PERFECT :P The video is routed via the HDMI cable to the Dell monitor, and the sound is routed via the Red and White connections directly into the amplifier

This is the current setup and am pretty happy with it, but I wanna know is there a way in which I can route the audio to my earphones as I don't wanna disturb my family members and their sleep when am in one of my late night gaming sessions on my week offs :O

Any help in this regards will be greatly appreciated. Thanx a lot in advance :P

Edit: I had an idea and went ahead and bought one of these cables...

I was able to connect this wire directly to the 360 composite cable's red and white with a RCA female to RCA female connector, like this one....

I was successful in getting the audio in my earphones but the VOLUME WAS REALLY LOW :(

Is there any other way ?

Have you tried connecting this...

to the Audio-Out of the Amplifier and then to a Headphone?

Yeah I tried that, but there was no sound in the earphones. I guess the output connectors in amplifier are not working :P I bought this stupid amplifier for 1k around 3 to 4 months back. It's a local one. Had intended to buy a branded one, but there were none :( Yamaha ones were costly upwards of 6 to 8k :(

u should look for rca male to 3.5 mm female n put earphone wire in it .i donno if it would work? .chk ebay if dey hav such product

Dude...I just googled for what you said, and it's the same cable that I've mentioned above :O

AFAIK, there's no other way to connect the headphones!

(In my case, I had a TV with the Headphone Port... Which isn't the case with you)

I have the headphone port on the Dell, but it's that stupid bug that's TOO IRRITATING :O

Anyways, I guess my only option is to change the amplifier. So which one would you guys suggest :P

Ya dude...I tried that, but since there is no way to control the volume (increase or reduce it), the volume of the sound heard in the earphones is TOO LOW :(

Anyways, guys, am thinking of either buying a new amplifier or getting the audio out connections fixed :O Will let you guys know how it goes :P

Thanx guys :(
